Episode 6 Continued - Murder on the Agenda
"Thank you ever so much for cooperating with me," I told the man as I held him over the roof of the mansion. "I shall forever be in your debt."
He breathed shakily as his legs kicked out, staring down at the ground that lay fifty feet below him. "Please, set me down! I swear I won't tell anyone! I'll leave you be forever! Don't kill me!"
I just smiled at him as my grip on his throat tightened, and I held him further out off the roof, making him squeal as he struggled further. "Oh? Set you down? Gladly."
"No!" he begged, struggling. "Please, don't kill me! Please!"
"Oh, alright," I said then, smiling still, "I guess we make a deal, correct?"
He quickly nodded, clutching onto my hand.
"You tell me where you're keeping my master, and I won't kill you."
He just kept kicking out his legs, breathing shakily. "Please, sir... they'll have my head if I tell."
My smile sharpened as I lightly dropped him.
He screamed in fear. "Okay! Okay!"
I caught back onto his throat, lashes lowering. "Have an answer?"
"A mansion!" he cried. "In London! Near the forest! It's the blue one! With a black flag waving outside it!"
"Oh, why thank you." I smiled kindly. "That was all I needed to know."
He just breathed shakily. "So you're going to put me back on the roof now?"
I parted my lashes. "No, I'm afraid I'm still going to drop you."
He then struggled, making my smile widen. "No! But you promised you wouldn't kill me!"
"I did," I answered, "but it's not me who's killing you. It's the force of the fall."
His eyes widened in horror.
"Thank you for being so kind and cooperative." I then let go. "Have a good night."
He immediately slipped from my grip and screamed, holding up his hands as the world fell out from under him.
I just sighed and checked my pocket watch. "Almost four thirty." I distantly heard his body crack against the concrete, the sound echoing through the air. "Master's stomach must be very angry."
