Episode 2 Continued - Murder on Elle Street
TWO YEARS AGO...
I stared at the familiar Phantomhive manor as the demon butler remained next to me, staring at it as well as the wind blew my hair over my face.
I lightly touched the bandages that covered my right eye; the ones Sebastian wrapped around my head only moments ago, and he also bandaged my throat-where they almost cut me.
We both stared at the manor, and my lashes lowered as a sudden cold consumed me, but I refused to acknowledge it.
"So, what's your name, demon?" I asked him.
His lips just curled, and he glanced over at me. "Whatever my master wants."
I gazed up at him. "What did my ancestor, Ciel, call you?"
"He called me 'Sebastian,'" the demon said, lashes lowering as his eye twitched. "Like his dog."
I smiled then. "Sounds fitting. Sebastian it is then."
He glared at me as I stepped forward, and he followed me seconds later.
"God, you're just like him..." Sebastian growled.
I waved off his response. "He is my ancestor, after all." And I turned to him. "So, Sebastian, do you know how to be a butler?"
He smiled now. "Yes, my lord."
"You know how to cook," I stated, brow arching, "to serve, to clean, to do everything?"
"Quite, my lord." His eyes continued glowing.
"So... you eat souls and you're telling me you know how to cook human food?"
"Well..." he tipped his head to the side, "I didn't before Ciel, but I quickly caught up with being a butler. I'd say I am simply... one hell of a butler."
I rolled my eyes. "Sure, but that was over a hundred years ago."
"Yes, but for a demon like me, my lord... it's only seconds ago."
I gazed up at him. "That does make a good point."
He smiled in response.
"Well, then," I said, "show me 'one hell of a butler' that you can be."
