ᯓ★"In a world full of magic, I was one of the ones born without it. Yet, instead I received psychic powers. Telekinesis, teleportation, levitation, are just a few to name. You may be thinking... 'Wow [Name] you're the luckiest girl on the planet, you can have anything you want.' You're dead wrong. I'm the unluckiest person on the planet, a girl who has nothing!"
[Name] Saiki, a teenage girl with strange abilities. It was much easier for her to blend in with magic users. Unlike her friend since childhood, Mash Burnedead. There was just one thing about him. She couldn't read his mind!
He was either a full on idiot or an insect. The only two category of creatures she couldn't just understand. Yet, Mash wasn't a total idiot and he sure wasn't an insect...
"Hey, [Name]." A monotone voice said. [Name] slightly shivered, surprised by his sudden interaction. Yet looking at him with her usual unreadable expression. She couldn't read his mind, so it was difficult to sense when he was approaching causing her to get a bit startled.
⤷Mash Burnedead...A non magic user that possessed super strength.
[Name] lightly nodded her head as a greeting. They met as kids, her parents, Kurumi and Kuniharu Saiki accidentally heard of another kid without the use of magic living outside of the city within the forest. It wasn't long before they all became acquaintances.
"So um... I'm joining a magic school." Mash mumbled, adverting eye contact. "Maybe he is a total idiot?!" [Name] thought, looking at him with a dumbfounded expression.
"Just how exactly do you expect to pass?" She crossed her arms, slightly raising a brow. Mash cleared his throat awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.
"With my fist...?" He said lowly. Mash looked like a kid getting scolded by their mother. He looked down at the floor within her home. After his encounter with Brad Coleman, who made an offer with him, he left straight to visit her. If it was to live in peace with his 'pops', the dark haired teen was willing to join a magic school, an elite one at that!
"...Unbelievable." She scoffed lightly, uncrossing her hands and pointing a finger at him. "You know what'll happen if you get caught, right?"
Mash nodded his head, his hair lightly lifting before falling back down against his forehead. "And that Easton Magic Academy is a prestigious school and only about three percent enter?" The psychic sighed. Yet again, simply nodding.
"I just want to live in peace with my pops," He said. She hummed in acknowledgement towards his fate. "I was wondering if you'd join with me," Mash blurted. His voice was barely above a whisper.
Times like these she really wished she knew what going on in that guy's head. "One non magic user is excusable, but two? That's futile." [Name] sighed, shaking her head.
"But you have psychic powers, you'll be fine. Can't you just change everyone's opinions or something?" He said bluntly. She shook her head in disapproval.
[Name] sighed, "Good grief...yes I can, by why would I? I'm just trying to live an ordinary life. I'm not sneaking into a magic school with you."
Mash looked at her with an unreadable expression. "Please. We've been through many things together, I don't want to leave you." He muttered. Such vulnerable words, [Name] almost felt sorry for the guy.
"Mash- Where the hell did you get that creampuff from?" One second he was in a fragile state and now he's devouring a cream puff?!
"Do you want some?" Mash asked, holding it out. The filling and the pastry shell already soggy from him eating it.. "No...I don't..." [Name] muttered with a disgusted look. Her nose crinkled and one eye slightly twitching.
" 'kay." The black haired teen shrugged. "[Name]... I don't want this to sound silly, but I really enjoy your company. I'd really like it if you join me. You're my first friend, the first person like me i've met, even if we're still on different levels of power..." Mash started, taking a last bite of his favorite desert.
"...Maybe we're like soulmates? I feel a real deep connection to you. Uhm, so if you can join me, I promise I'll protect you, the best that I can." He mumbled, looking back at her. His eyes shyly grazing over hers, as if trying to read her expression.
[Name] took a deep breath as her eyes met his gaze. "Fine...I'll join you, but don't expect me to help you out too much," She mumbled.
A small smile planted itself on Mash's features. "Thank you, [Name]." She scoffed lightly, pushing up her glasses. "Whatever, don't get too excited, we still have to actually get into the school."
