"What in the actual fuck?!"
"Geez, Freya! Don't shriek like that!"
"How the hell am I supposed to be calm?! Huh?! You come here and burst such news on my face and expect me to not shriek?! Cassie! Dude, you're in love!! With an older woman."
"And she's gorgeous!"
Caspian quickly shut up after blurting that out, blood rushing to his face and ears as he ducked his head low to avoid further teasing.
A very amused teasing grin plastered across Freya's face as she flopped next to Caspian on his bed, nudging him with her shoulder repeatedly.
"Gorgoues, huh? Huh?"
"Stopp." The boy turned ten shades of red, covering his face with his hands.
"You're right though. She's really hot." Freya admitted with a sigh.
Caspian immediately frowned, elbowing her on the ribs.
"Don't you even think about it!"
"Cassie, my love, I'm engaged and madly, deeply in love with your brother. Don't forget that." She deadpanned.
"Whew for that. Though I still don't know how you manage to be in love with a robot like him."
This earned him a smack on the back of his head.
"Oww! What the hell?!"
"Don't talk about my fiancé like that."
Holding up his hands, Caspian surrendered, both of them giggling afterwards.
Freya tugged him so they both laid on their backs, staring up at the ceiling covered with illuminated stars and moons, like kids' rooms.
Their hands laced and soft smiles adorning their faces as the pair of best friends enjoyed the comfortable silence.
"I'm happy for you, Cassie. You've always been so alone and avoided any form of relationship. Now you've finally found someone you love truly. I really hope she reciprocates just as much."
Caspian exhaled deeply, a sense of longing budding in his heart as he reminisced about how Silvia still felt a bit unsure about all of this.
"Me too. I don't think I'd ever love someone again if she rejects me eventually."
Freya tilted her face to him, watching his side face. "Hey." She softly spoke. "Don't talk like that. I'm sure she's just confused, or maybe overwhelmed now. But she'll come around. Have some faith in your love."
This made the boy giggle. "Where'd ya learn such soap opera dialogue?"
Rolling her eyes, Freya laughed a little, leaning her head to rest on his shoulder.
"Your brother is not so romantic, you know. So I gotta manage the romance from both of our parts."
Both of them chuckled at that.
"But honestly, Cassie. I've seen it in her eyes. How much she cares about you. She literally yelled at me for leaving you alone and putting you in danger. I saw how delicately she carried you, as if you were the most precious thing to her.
I truly believe she loves you. She just needs time to realize it. And I'm once again sorry for leaving you alone."
Caspian only squeezed her hand in response, overflowing emotions surged through him hearing her say all that and a bud of hope started blooming in his chest.
Maybe one day, Silvia would love him just as much.

Caspian had fallen for her.
The confession has thrown her world into a turmoil of anxious thoughts.
Someone actually loved her, wanted her, after years of spending in fake pretense, without love or any emotional connection, all of this felt too overwhelming to Silvia, and for the first time, she desperately wished to be a normal girl.
Just a girl who could love anyone she wanted, have a happy life with her desirable person, have friends and be her real self with them.
She'd never wanted this, she'd long accepted her loneliness, her curse. Now this small boy with otherworldly white hair and gray eyes had managed to throw her into a whirlwind of emotions where she began to question everything about her life.
Question her dark side. The demons that resided within her, the hunger for chaos and blood. Why was she like that? She'd never questioned before, till now.
But since she had decided to be honest and true with Caspian-though she couldn't fake with him even if she wanted-she'd come clean with him.
If even after knowing about all of her past, Caspian still wanted her, she'd give her all in this relationship, and do everything in her power to protect the boy. From her own curse.
Silvia pulled out his phone and dialed Cas' number, free hand tapping on top of the bar counter.
"Uhm, Sil." She looked to the side to see Chris with his cheeks red, and wringing his fingers.
Silvia felt bad for using him the other day just to spite Caspian. But she couldn't undo that now.
"Yeah." She cut the call since Caspian wasn't picking up.
"Are you free tonight? Wanna go get coffee with me?"
Silvia's heart faltered, guilt. It has to be one of the new feelings she's harbored since Cas came into her life.
"Chris, I'm really sorry for kissing you that day. I-I shouldn't have done that."
Chris' face dropped and he looked away, avoiding eye contact so his watery eyes weren't visible to the woman.
"N-no. It's fine." He scurried away.
Sighing, Silvia rubbed the sides of her temple when her phone started ringing. She saw Caspian's name and picked up his call.
"Hey!" His cheery voice immediately brightened her soured mood and she softly smiled.
"Cas, can we meet tonight?"
"Of course! Your place?"
"How about some other place. Maybe a surprise." She smirked.
Caspian lowly squealed. "Sure! Is it a date?"
Silvia's heart did a somersault and she smiled genuinely.
"Yeah, an official one this time."
"Yayy!" Caspian did a small happy dance and Silvia could almost feel his happiness radiating through the call.
"Meet me at the bar at 7."
"Okay!"
"Bye." She hung up and shook her head, chuckling to herself.
Has she ever smiled this much in all of her life? Never.
What are you doing to me, Cas?
Who exactly are you?Unbeknownst to the happy soul, a pair of very sorrow-ful eyes stared at her with longing, wishing it was for him that she smiled like that.
But life doesn't always turn out the way we want.
