The following weekend...
Location - Family Restaurant
Your POV
I never thought the day would come where I would get an actual girlfriend, especially since I'm normally the shy type. Most of the girls at my school wouldn't give a shy and quiet guy like me a chance, but thankfully, Ako was kind enough to my wish come true. I can't wait to see how this relationship is going to go towards the future.
Now that Ako and I are a couple, there was only one thing left to do; go on our first date. We decided that our first date would be at the family restaurant since Roselia goes there all of the time after band rehearsals and live performances. I picked up Ako from her place on time, and she and I made our way over there.
I was quite nervous that I had to hold her hand towards the whole walk there, but I had to be brave and not show how nervous I was.
Once we got to the restaurant, we walked inside, and sat down on a booth across from each other.
"Thank you for agreeing to have this date with me." I said.
"Yeah, of course!" Ako grinned from ear to ear. "I've been looking forward to this day so much that I might've been too excited to sleep last night."
Ako let out a soft and embarrassing chuckle, and I don't blame her. I was the same way when the two of us officially became a couple, but of course, I didn't say anything about it. Hopefully getting some food in our stomachs will help us wake up a bit.
"So, what looks good to you?" I asked as I look the menu.
"The fries look good, so do you think we can share a basket?" Ako asked as she looked at me with the puppy dog eyes.
I chuckled, thinking that this is the cutest that she is acting.
"Sure, I wouldn't mind splitting from fries with you. But we probably shouldn't mention this to Sayo-san." I chuckled again.
Ako chuckled as well.
"Yeah, we don't need her to be jealous."
_____________________________________________30 minutes later...
The fries came about 30 minutes later, and it was fresh off of the fryer, too. I took one fry, and Ako took one as well. We took our first bite together, and our taste buds with through the roof.
"Oh wow, these are amazing!" I said.
"Yeah! These are the best fries we've ever had!"
"I can't argue with that." I giggled.
Ako and I kept talking as we ate the fries. I would say that the date is going well, but deep down, I kept having having my doubts. I think Ako is able to see that, and she became concerned.
"Hey, (Y/N), are you feeling okay?" She asked.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, I am completely fine." I chuckled. But instead of believing me, Ako ended up pouting instead.
"Don't give me that look! Something is off with you, and I can tell!"
I guess Ako could see right through me, so I guess there's no point in hiding this from her.
"Well, to be honest, I guess I was just a little bit nervous about going on this date." I confessed.
Ako took my hand from across the table, and gave it a small squeeze.
"Believe it or not, I was pretty nervous about this date as well."
"Wait, you are?"
"Yeah, I am." Ako responds. "I was worried that I'd do something wrong, and that you wouldn't want me anymore."
Ako was thinking the same thing as me, and in a way, I guess that does make me feel a little bit better. To make her feel better, I squeeze her hand a little.
"You know, maybe we shouldn't think how we feel about each other, and just have a good time."
Ako nodded.
"Yeah, you're right." She smiles.
To be continued
A/N: Be sure to look forward to the next chapter. :)
