Kaiya felt her heart leap from her chest the second she stepped into the booming beach club. She'd told Lando she was going to be there around nine, but ended up being a half hour late. This was simply because she could not figure out an outfit to wear.
At first she'd chosen a diamond laced dress that she had bought for Xavier's twenty-first birthday, but decided it was too much for the occasion. Then, she thought to go for a simple look with a black tight dress with extra accessories, but it was too plain for her liking.
At nine exactly, she'd finally found the perfect outfit. A black laced top that had vine patters all over with a black bikini top underneath. She paired it with a black mini skirt that had sheer ruffles at the ends, with a brown belt that hung off her hip.
The outfit did her justice. She looked amazing and she knew it, but that didn't stop the nervous jitters she was experiencing. Playing with her diamond earrings, Kaiya followed Ani through the large crowd of people.
It took a few minutes but they spotted the small crowd of Formula One drivers, Lando in the center. He wore a black button up with a the first few buttons opened, exposing a decent sized portion of his chest, along with white slacks.
If Kaiya hadn't a sliver of dignity, she definitely would've folded. He looked so, so, so good.
Forcing a smile onto her face, she pushes through another few partiers before stepping into a small clearing. "Lando!" She shouted over the loud music, attempting to gain his attention.
Succeeding in it, Lando turns his head, his face lighting up as he hands a drink off to someone Kaiya couldn't quite make out. The Brit weaves through his friends before stopping in front of Kaiya and Ani, his brow quirked. "Where's Xavier?"
"On a date." Ani smirks. "With Marc."
"Marc?"
Rolling her eyes playfully, Kaiya waves him off. "Some Mercedes employee. A greeting would be nice now?"
A grin grows on the boys tanned face, "hello, Kaiya. Glad you could finally make it."
Pursing her glossy lips, Kaiya frowns. "Okay, well I couldn't find the right outfit.."
Ani giggles, "she kept stressing about what you would think—OUCH?!"
Landing a hard punch onto her "friends" bicep, Kaiya scowls. "I literally was not." She huffs, trying to save herself from the humiliation of the true statement.
Lando watches the interaction in amusement, finding it quite endearing that she wanted to impress him. "Well, I think you would've looked good in anything." He winks, stepping aside, "come on, there's people I want you to meet."
The red on Kaiya's cheeks was not a bad blush application, it was natural. Her face burned at his flirtatious compliment, and the club's atmosphere was not helping. Luckily though, it was far too dark for anyone to notice and the strobe lights hid the coloring.
