AMELIA'S POV

After work, I couldn't shake the conversation with Jack. He had teased me endlessly about Jude, bringing back so many memories. Jack had always been good at making me laugh, but today his words hit differently. "You and Jude always had something special," he'd said, laughing. The way he said it, so casual and teasing, made me question if he saw something I didn't.

I thought about Jude's protectiveness, the way he looked at me today, and how he seemed genuinely concerned about my interactions with Jack. Despite everything, it was nice to see Jude again, even if things were complicated. As I got ready for bed, Jack's words echoed in my mind. I rolled my eyes at the memory, but a part of me wondered if he was right. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but think about the past and what the future might hold.

The next day was match day. The stadium buzzed with energy as I arrived early, my eyes scanning the field for Jude. It felt strange being back here, watching him prepare for the game after all these years. I found my seat and settled in, the familiar atmosphere of the stadium bringing a sense of nostalgia.

Just as the game started, I saw Jude go down during the game, clutching his leg. My heart skipped a beat as he was helped off the field. I rushed to the physio room, trying to stay calm. When I arrived, he was already there, grimacing in pain.

"Jude, what happened?" I asked, my voice filled with concern.

"Just a bad tackle," he said, trying to downplay it, but I could see the pain in his eyes.

I quickly got to work, assessing the injury. "You need to be more careful," I scolded gently, trying to keep my professional demeanor, but my worry was evident.

Jude smiled weakly. "I know"

Amelia:"Your an idiot, how many times did I told you to be careful"

Jude giggled

Amelia:"whats funny!?"

Jude:"sorry ma'am"

As I worked on his leg, the familiarity of our banter from the night before returned, making the situation feel oddly normal.

"You know,"

I said, trying to keep things light,

"you've always been a bit reckless on the field."

"Yeah, well, some things never change," he replied, his smile reaching his eyes despite the pain.

Jude:"how many days I will not be able to play?"

I took a deep breath before delivering the news.

"Jude, I've assessed your injury, and it's serious. You won't be able to play for at least two months."

His face fell, and I saw the frustration and disappointment wash over him.

"Two months? That's a long time."

"I know, but you need to let it heal properly. Rushing back could make it worse," I said, my tone firm but gentle.

He nodded, though I could see how much it pained him.

Jude:"Thats long dude"

Amelia:"oh you wont be bored, you have me now"

Jude smiled slightly

We were still in the physio room when there was a knock on the door. It opened to reveal Jude's parents, Mark and Denise, along with his younger brother, Jobe. Seeing them brought a rush of emotions. Jobe had grown so much in the four years since I'd last seen him, and it was heartwarming to see Mark and Denise again.

"Amelia!" Denise exclaimed, pulling me into a hug. "It's so good to see you."

I smiled, returning the hug. "It's good to see you too."

I turned around seeing Jobe. Tears filling my eyes. I missed that kid.

Amelia:"Oh my God! Jobe?!
You grew up so much. You are.. you are almost twice my size."

We huged him

Jobe grinned shyly, looking pleased. "It's been a while, Amelia."

Mark stepped forward, giving me a warm handshake.

"We've missed you around here," he said sincerely.

"I've missed you all too,"

I replied, feeling a lump in my throat. Despite the circumstances, it felt like a small reunion.

Denise:"are you ok my boy"

Jude:"yeah.."

Denise:"how long are you-.."

Jude:"two months"

Jobe:"shit dude"

Denise:"Lenguage!"

They suportet him.
We all chatted for a bit, catching up and sharing stories. Despite the years that had passed, the connection was still there, strong and undeniable.

"Jude can't play today!"

I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Why don't we all watch the game from the VIP seats together?"

We made our way to the VIP section, and as the game started, Jude sat beside me, his leg propped up and a look of frustration on his face. I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry. You'll be back on the field soon."

He nodded, but I could see the disappointment in his eyes.

"Thanks, Amelia."

We settled into our seats, and as the game progressed, the atmosphere in the stadium was electric. Mark and Denise cheered enthusiastically, while Jobe excitedly discussed the game with Jude, who seemed to relax a bit more with each passing minute.

"See, this isn't so bad,"

I said softly to Jude, nudging him slightly. "

At least you get to spend time with your family."

He smiled, looking around at his parents and brother.

"Yeah, I guess you're right...and your here too"

As the game went on, Real Madrid played brilliantly, securing a victory that had the entire stadium erupting in cheers. Jude's parents were beaming with pride, and Jobe was animatedly recounting the highlights of the match.

Despite Jude's injury and the frustration of not being able to play, the day turned out to be unexpectedly wonderful. The bond with his family, the support from his friends, and the shared moments of joy all contributed to a sense of warmth and belonging.

As we all walked out of the stadium together, the sun setting in the distance, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. Being back in Jude's life, reconnecting with his family, and facing these new challenges together felt right. Despite the complexities and uncertainties, I knew that this was where I was meant to be.

We walked together, a united front against whatever the future held. And as I looked at Jude, I saw not just the boy I grew up with, but the man he was becoming. Strong, determined, and still, despite everything, my closest friend.
