Standing so rigid—breeze gently kissing my face. His eyes still looking at me, with no visible emotion. His eyes met mine and he just stares, hard, like all my secrets are right there on my face. I've never seen eyes as dark as his—still it holds thousands of sparks. Drawing me in like a prey.

I would've fallen on my knees—trembling, if I didn't saw different emotions in his eyes. Amusement and confused. Noticing his adams apple moved up and down quickly, as he squinted—dragging the pupils of his eyes towards every corner of my face.

"I'm not". Like electricity—it traveled down to my spine. Lifting his chin a little. His grip on the scroll tightened, veins showing up.

Nanaig ang katahimikan ng mahaba habang oras, nakatitig sa mga mata ng bawat isa. All we could hear is the muffled noice from the town people, and his rigged breathing—accompanied by my heavy ones.

"Liar." I finally had the courage to speak, breaking the awkward silence between us. Immediately I regretted my choice of words when I easily got irked.

"Explains why you can manipulate using your mind. I'm not a fool. Zaltarian." Damn him and his calmness.

Kung ano mang laman ng misteryo ng pamilya ninyo, nakatitiyak akong matutuklasan ko ito. Maaaring hindi ko nga iyon problema ngunit may kung anong humihila saakin upang maghanap ng kasagutan tungkol roon. At walang makakapigil saakin.

"How'd you even know?" His eyebrows crinkled. If only looks could hit someone physically, I would've punched his face already.

"Lila and I almost ended each lives if I didn't flicked her clothes."

"What?" I nearly choked when he chuckled—not failing to flex how deep his voice is. What the.... How can it sound so ethereal and still get in my nerves at the same time? His actions are damn annoying me!

"She told me about your family's secret." His grin slowly disappeared. My lips are getting eager to speak. And when I had to, I found myself standing all alone in the middle of this dark alley. He left without me noticing?! Or it was me who was lost in my own thoughts?

With thoughts overwhelming my mind. I started taking steps, little by little. Scenarios kept on popping on my head. I was unaware of where I was walking and heading to, I just let my feet do its thing. I shivered when I felt a cold wind making contact with my skin. Finally—looking up I realized where i am now.

I made my way towards the massive gates of the palace. As I was about to enter I smiled when the guard standing there greeted me. Taking further steps, I came inside a huge dome with classic pillars on every side. Enormous paintings displayed on the walls, slowly making my way on one of the paintings. It was a woman holding a trident on her left arm—the other raised in the air with light floating on top of her finger tips.

Peculiarly drawing me in with its beauty. My fingers slowly tracing every stroke—feeling some depth and volume. Interesting.

I was startled when someone behind me spoke, it was one of those voices. Cold yet smooth, making me tremble. I was certain I hadn't heard it yet.

"The queen is in the grand hall, talking with the juries."

Finally having the courage to face who was behind me. But as soon as I turned, immediately I bowed—realizing who it was. It was the majesty himself! King Aetheir Sage Zaltarian, the first born child of the royal family. They weren't kidding when it comes into their appearance. I've met two of the royal sons, enough for the rumors to be true. They're like a perfect example of perfection when it comes to physical appearance.

Though, the king himself is much more intimidating that the other Zaltarian I just met a few hours ago. Wait—speaking of that royalty, who was that man? Not sure if it's the second prince or the last born son.
