Taehyung's pov -
My heart pounded in my chest as i was escorted into the courtroom, my hands shackled tightly with cold, unyielding cuffs. The clinking of the metal against the chains echoed in the stillness of the room, each sound a sharp reminder of my current predicament.
The room was a stark, imposing space, filled with rows of empty wooden benches and the air thick with anticipation. The harsh fluorescent lights cast a sterile, unforgiving glow over everything.
I had spent the night without sleep, the dark hours dragging by with no solace. Hunger gnawed at me, but there had been no appetite.
Tomorrow, My eyes looked to the door.
Yn didn't come to met me. I had been waiting for her. I was worried for her health.
"Mr. Taehyung, move." The officer said when i stopped in the middle for looking for her.
I walked ahead.
I looked at myself.
My last bath felt like a distant memory, and my clothes were rumpled and disheveled, a stark contrast to the clean-cut image i was used to presenting.
My usually meticulously styled hair was now a wild mess, strands falling into my eyes and adding to the overall disheveled appearance.
But my wife would find me adorable in any look.
As i walked slowly, each step felt heavy, burdened not only by the weight of the cuffs but by the overwhelming sense of dread that clung to me.
My mind was a whirl of anxious thoughts, but my focus was singular, fixed on the courtroom door. Through the turmoil of my emotions, one hope remained constant-seeing Yn.
My eyes, red-rimmed and weary, darted to the door every few moments, as if willing her to appear through sheer force of will.
The courtroom felt cold and distant. I could barely register the murmur of conversations and the shuffling of papers from the legal staff, my thoughts consumed by the desperate need to catch a glimpse of Yn.
Officers took me early, no one reached yet. Only officers and other staff doing their work.
Every creak of the door, every rustle of movement, made my heart leap with hope, only to sink in disappointment when it wasn't her. The anticipation was almost unbearable, the longing to see her face providing a small beacon of hope amid the overwhelming darkness of my situation.
Officer Lee Dong entered the room, with Hayun and her lawyer, Mr. Kang, following closely behind him. Their presence casts a heavy shadow over the space, making the air feel thick and suffocating. I turned my gaze away from them.
My eyes remained locked on the door, my heart aching with each passing second. Every moment felt like an eternity as I grappled with the overwhelming fear that I might not see her today.
