Wednesday's POV

I am not angry.

No.

No, I am not.

That would be unreasonable.

Am I slightly frustrated that for the first time in a month and a half, me and my girlfriend were engaging in something sexual due to the fact neither of us knew where the other stood on the topic, and in the midst of enjoyment, a group of people that haven't bothered to visit us within that month and a half decides to walk in without inquiring beforehand?

Yes.

Yes, I am.

At the moment we all sit around the room, quiet and awkward, and I am not sure who will be the one to break the silence. I feel nothing in regard to all of them now knowing me and Enid are together, it simply is what it is. However, for both me and Enid's, and frankly everyone's sake, I wish they could have found out differently.

"Why didn't any of you guys visit us? And I don't mean today you know; I'm talking about at any point." Enid asks, trying to hide the pain in her voice. She hides it well; I'll give her that. I sit next to her on one of the hospital beds, Yoko and Divina on the other, Kent and Bianca sitting in the two chairs, Reggie leaning against the wall, and Taylor and Easton are sitting on the floor. "I mean, I enjoyed facetiming and texting you all, but I'm just a bit confused."

Enid's mind occasionally gets the best of her, and as much as I too am looking for an answer to her question, there is most likely a suitable reason. Nobody in this group would ever purposely refrain from visiting, and I think Enid knows that.

"Enid, I wish we could have visited you both, but mom wouldn't let us." Reggie responds, taking is weight off the wall and stranding up straight. The expression on his face is truthful, and it's upset. On an unrelated note, I'm getting much more proficient at reading facial expressions. "Parental consent is needed to have visitors...even for me and Easton. Mom just...she wasn't letting it happen for some reason."

The tone of the room is serious, too serious. I would much rather prefer the steady awkwardness that we began with. I look to Enid, wondering how she is going to react to the information. For a moment see seems upset, but the feel of the room changes as she lets out a dramatic audible sigh. Almost one of....relief?

"Oh, well isn't that good." She laughs, I look to the rest of the room confused, they do the same to me. "I mean, it's extremely upsetting that my mother continues to act the way she does, but damn, you guys had me thinking you all just didn't want to see me."

And just like that, the vibe changes. In a positive way to be clear. It's upsetting yes, Enid's mother and her usual attitude, but I'm pleased to know it was to no fault of the groups.

"Of course we wanted to see you, see both of you." Bianca says, everyone else nodding in agreement. As much as I don't appreciate what I am about to admit...I am starting to see the good to having friends.

Yes, I said it.

These are my friends, and I kinda tolerate them.

"Enid, Wednesday, when we found out about the accident, which we were told through Ms. Addams, all we wanted to do was come see if you both were okay. We would never have voluntarily not visited, you know?" Divina explains more.
