This is a notice for the people who started reading my story before 21st July, 2024.

Okay readers... I had seriously messed up the timeline.

To clear any confusion, I'm going to just summarize the timeline right now.

We are somewhere a little ahead of the Mugen Train Arc. Yes I had stated somewhere in the previous chapters that we were near Natagumo but I just happened to realize if Giyuu and Shinobu were 20 and 17, Shinobu, Mitsuri and Iguro would not be Hashira.

In the end, the Hashira know about Tanjiro and Nezuko and we are in the normal timeline. This means we are advancing towards the Entertainment District.

This means Giyuu and Shinobu are 21 and 18 respectively.

If you have any confusion, please do ask me.

They were at Saki's place, bidding their farewell to her. Her eyes were starting to water as she put up a weak smile and handed them a box.

"This is your lunch and dinner. Don't spend a lot of money on food outside. It's very expensive nowadays." She advised them in an imperative tone, but her flowing tears said otherwise.

"Don't cry. I'll make sure to send you letters." Giyuu frowned as put his hands on her shoulders in an attempt to calm her down. Saki looked away and silently wiped away her tears.

Giyuu's eyes reached at Shinobu standing near them, giving him a disappointed look. Her eyes narrowed, as if she was trying to give him a signal.

"Give her a hug" Shinobu silently mouthed to him as she saw him miserably fail to comfort Saki.

"What?" Giyuu's expression replied as he narrowed his eyes.

Shinobu spread her hands as she gestured to him to hug the poor crying woman.

"Oh." His eyebrows shot up in realization as his eyes slowly retracted back to Saki.

He slowly, but awkwardly wrapped his arms around Saki and gave her a hug. Her tears slowly stopped as her lips cracked into a small smile as she wholeheartedly accepted and gave him a tight hug.

Shinobu's expression couldn't help but break into a genuine smile looking at the wholesome scene in front of her eyes.

"Alright. Enough of this sad stuff. You need to leave. Work's calling y'know." Saki smiled and gesture towards the door.

"It was nice meeting you, Saki-san." Shinobu gave her a graceful smile. Her eyes widened as Saki pulled her into a hug. Her expression slowly softened into a small smile, remembering her late mother's warm embrace.

"Stay safe and don't get hurt!" Saki called out to them as they advanced towards the end of the village, into the thick forest. Shinobu gestured her a big wave as goodbye while Giyuu looked back, having a pleasant expression on his face as they slowly disappeared from Saki's vision.

'May god always keep them safe together.' Saki smiled to herself and returned back to her house.

It was almost night. Infact all the light had already dimmed by the evening and it was getting hard to see.

"Tomioka-san, we have reached Yamanashi prefecture." Shinobu pointed towards the board containing its name. Giyuu nodded in response and they advanced forward.
