16. The Great Naruto Bridge

                                    

                                          
" Thank you for the Food! It was really good" , I said as I got up to take my dishes to the kitchen . 
" Thank you for the Food. " Sasuke said and followed Me. 
" You guys are a little hasty today to head to your room , what's the matter ? " Sakura asked after swallowing the fish she was chewing. 
" Nothing much , just close to finishing a seal , it was quite complicated but it's now coming to an end , and as for Sasuke , he's actually tired , the exercises to mature the Sharingan are really taking a toll on his body " I explained while Sasuke continued to head towards our shared room . 
I felt Inari's gaze on me whole dinner , now that I think about it he stares alot at me after his outburst , sensei probably had a talk with him. 
Couple of days have passed since our training started , and I am loving all the vigor honestly. Same cannot be said for Sasuke though , I am starting to pity him, the exercises he goes through are strenuous. I just hope he achieves what he is working hard for. After all, starting tomorrow we'll start patrolling the bridge too . 
" G'night everyone! " with that I headed up .
When I reached the room Sasuke was already sprawled on the floor , I laid down his mattress and shifted him there and covered him with a blanket. I then proceeded to lay Sensei's mattress too , and after that I began with the seal. I wonder how tou-san used to come with such awesome seals so quickly  . 
After an hour or so , sensei entered the room , " How's it going ? " , he said in a hushed tone. 
" Almost there . " I replied in a soft tone , glancing slightly towards him. 
" Do you need any further help ? " 
" I think I'm good , the pointers you gave really helped alot , you can rest . I'll sleep a little later . " 
" Alright , but don't overwork yourself . Good night " he said and ruffled my hair. 
I nodded with a smile , " Aye aye captain , Good night . " 
I don't know how many hours passed , when I was finally done with the seal but I heard birds chirping outside the window. 
I finally made the seal tou-san ! 
This specific seal creates a void where I focus the Chakra on my body , I got inspired by it from Sensei's Mangekyo Sharingan ability , which he used during our kenjutsu spar . 
It was a very complicated seal but I managed to finally make it. 
As I turned to my right , hoping to show it to someone , I saw Sensei already up , he had his head supported by his right hand and was looking at me . 
" I made it ! " I yelled still in a hushed voice. 
" I saw that , I am really proud of you. " He said smiling . 
" Since when have you been up? " 
" Just woke up a while ago , you were too concentrated I thought not to disturb you . " 
" Come on sensei attack at me any- " before I could even complete my sentence , his left hand passed straight through my torso . 
" It works Naruto . " 
" Yes , and I'll soon learn the Hirashin too ! " 
" Not before you turn 15 or a chunin whichever is earlier , you're not getting that scroll , not on my watch chipmunk " 
" Awwww! Just you wait sensei , I'll become a chunin in just a blink . " I whined and he had the audacity to laugh at me. 
" I know you will Naruto . Now come on get some sleep . " 
" Yeah , let me just wrap this up and lay my mattress. " 
" No need you take my mattress , I'll wrap that up " he said getting up. 
" Sensei , you're literally the best ! " I hugged his torso and he ruffled my hair , I tell you , he does that almost 10 times a day to both Sasuke and me . 
* Few hours later *
*Inari's p.o.v.* 
" Isn't Naruto going to come sensei? " 
" No Sakura , he'll come later " 
Sakura , Sasuke and their Sensei were ready to go with grandpa to the bridge , why isn't Naruto going? 
" Tsunami San , please don't wake Naruto , he'll wake up by himself , he just slept in the morning . " 
Kaa-chan nodded and said , " I'll make sure to let him rest. Stay assured. " 
" Was he working on the seal the whole night ? " Sakura asked Sasuke . 
" Yeah , he doesn't give up until he is satisfied with what he is doing . That's Naruto for you ! He was not sleeping properly the last couple days " Sasuke responded with his hands in his pocket .
