Emotions. Emotions clog the pores and stick to your skin like blood.
When I first heard a T-21, before it was a thing, I let emotions in control and almost lost it.
Even with a panicked run and enough adrenaline to get crackhead high pumping through my system, I listen to Scarlett tell me the situation.
It was a mistake to drag along Mr. W's dance. Every second I wasted with him when I heard of the situation was a second that she could have been harmed.
I peek out from the VIP exit door to look at the T-21. With her blond curly hair, baby blue eyes, and doll face, she looks just like Scarlett described her.
She's wearing a skin-tight baby blue dress, that matches the color of her eyes and barely hangs on her shoulder. It's a dress to please a man and it makes me angry that she has to please someone at such a young-looking age.
Her eyes are full of fear and panic that can be seen from a long way away. She's looking around the club as she sits on the lap of a man, who looks to be in his early twenties.
Pain pinches in my chest with seeing this young girl being forced into this situation. It's like a hot rippling pain in my ribs that makes them want to crush in on themselves.
Even though several emotions fall in my thoughts and flow throughout me, I can't let them show. As I said, emotions will be the death of you or someone. I can't make another mistake like I did before.
August appears behind me, "What's the situation." He asks, making Scarlett jump next to me.
There's no time for sauntering or stalling. In a situation like this, you can't take your time to make a plan to get the girl away; you have to move with the flow.
"August, distract Mr. W. and make sure he doesn't come down or see this. Then, meet me down here in two and a half minutes," August nods and moves back up the elevator to the VIP club, "Scarlett, I need you to take the girl to the locker rooms alone after I've distracted the guy. I'll meet you there," I grab Scarlett's shoulders to show her how serious this is and look her in her brown eyes, "Whatever you do, don't come after me. I'll meet you there in ten minutes."
With that, I drop my hands from her shoulders. Pushing through from behind the door, I walk onto the main floor.
The smell of distant cigarettes with raging alcohol hits me in the face as I take another step on the black tiles of the main floor. Music thumps loud in my ears as they adjust from the quiet place of the VIP area. It matches the tempo of my heartbeat with the vibrations of my body colliding with the vibrations of the floor.
I keep my head high as I sway my hips lightly from side to side in a cool, confident walk towards a predator. Every man loves a confident woman, it's something they can't resist.
This predator isn't a good type you want to be chased down in the woods with. It's the type that will take your weakness and rip it from your chest to expose it to the world and destroy you.
