As we ate through our food I looked around, 'this is where I belong.' I thought to myself. I looked over at Artemis. Feelings have been bubbling in my heart for the last few days. I now could address them with certainty. 'Love.'
After everyone finished dinner, several of them retired to their tents. It wasn't long until I was the only person left sitting by the fire. Then I began to wonder. If I could start a fire then can't I also extinguish one?
I focused on the fire. I clenched my hand just like I would with a fire that I had started. I watched as the flames that were sitting in front of me dissipate. I stood up and peered down at the place where the fire just was. It was in this moment that I noticed I still had my armor on.
The Olympian Silver glowed underneath the moon. Which also illuminated the blanket of snow that covered the ground. It too appearing to glow silver.
I reached down and pressed the button to retract my armor. The armor was great. It felt weightless, and yet has protected me from several situations where I would've been dead otherwise.
Even just thinking of the moon made my heart do flips in my chest. I remembered that Hestia said if I ever need someone to talk to, she's the person.
I walked over to my tent, the warm air warmed me after stepping out from the snowy environment outside.
I focused and flashed myself off to Olympus. It was much darker here than in Washington.
I remembered that here it was three hours later. I walked up to the throne room. Lights Illuminated the the exterior of the building. I pulled the door open. Inside, the thrones were empty. Only sitting in the middle of the throne room was Hestia tending to the hearth.
"Percy," she called out to me.
"Hello Hesita," I replied. She smiled warmly at me
"What brings you around here at these hours?" She asked. Honestly if it weren't for my need to ask her about Artemis then I would be asking myself the same question.
"I had something that I wanted to discuss with you." I continued. She gained a thoughtful look. Something that I've rarely seen on her face.
"Anything my champion." She acknowledged, raising her eyebrows, waiting for me.
"I think that I've fallen in love." I concluded. Her face brightened up, almost as if what I had just said would change the world.
"With who?" She asked, slightly tilting her head to the side.
I took a shaky breath, "Artemis." I spoke out. Her eyes widened in surprise.
Artemis POV
Zoë walked off as a few of the other hunters called her name. Percy looked over at me and he was flushed golden. "Sorry," He said. I took a step over to him, "Gotta go!" He flashed off.
I just shook my head. Was this feeling building in my stomach love? I couldn't decide. I just sat there for a second then I looked down at the tides. I had a thought. I flashed off to Athena
When I arrived, her palace looked no different than any other time I had been there. It looked like a large university building.
I took a step on her path, walking up her stairs and to her front door. Reaching up, I knocked on the large maple door.
A few moments passed by then the door opened. "Artemis!" she stated surprised. "What brings you here?"
I looked at her, then inside her door. "I have something that I need to discuss with you." I stated blankly.
