(M/N) WAS NERVOUS. It was his first grade's show and tell and his teacher had asked the class to bring their favorite stuffed toy.

The small boy glanced back and forth between his collection of toys before landing on one. It was a pink bunny plush with ruffled fur, sitting down with the rest of his toys and staring at him with its black eyes.

He picked up the toy and held it within his arms as his mother entered his room.

"Did you pick one yet?" The boys mother appeared at the doorway, her voice hoarse as if she strained herself. She had dark bags under her eyes, and though they were mostly covered with makeup, it was abundant that she was having trouble sleeping.

The woman's (e/c) eyes moved towards the plush in his hands as a wave of emotions hit her.

Heartbreak.

Guilt.

Sadness.

The child in front of her walked to her side and grabbed her shirt, breaking the women out of her trance. She squatted down to the boy's height and began to speak. "Are you sure you want to bring this one?"

The boy nodded. "Mhm, it's sissy's favorite so it's mine too."

His mother kissed his forehead and picked him up into her arms. "Alright."

The two headed down to the kitchen as the woman sat her son down on the table with a plate in front of him. As the boy began to eat, another figure emerged from the stairs.

The man smiled at the boy, patting his head before freezing at the site of the bunny on his lap. He breathed out a heavy sigh before walking towards the woman to peck her cheek.

"Are you sure it's healthy for him to have that?" The man asked hesitantly, glancing between his wife and son.

The woman gripped her cup. "I think it's his way of coping with the lose. You know how close they were." The two stood in silence, a testimony of a core memory formed between the family.

-----

A newborn baby girl was seen sleeping inside a crib as a young (h/c) haired boy gripped the wooden bars and watched. He was mesmerized with the sight in front of him, not wanting to look away.

He watched as she began to flutter her eyes open, revealing a pair of bright (e/c) eyes. They soon began darting around until they landed directly to the boy. Her tiny hands reached out in an attempt to touch him, but because of her small body, she could only reach so far.

Seeing this, (m/n) met her half way and put his hand between the bars, holding her hand in his.

The little girl giggle in response as she started to play and num on his fingers, causing (m/n) to giggle along with her. Looking to the side, he used his unoccupied arm to pick up a pink bunny plush and shook it near her.

The baby cooed even louder as she watched the bunny in amazement and fascinationmaking (m/n) smile even brighter.

The parents of the siblings were at the door, watching the heartfelt moment; with the father's arms wrapped around the woman's, kissing her forehead in a loving manner.

-----

The man blinked hastily as the memory soon faded. "I guess so. Come on (m/n), let's go." The boy stuffed the rest of his breakfast in his mouth before meeting his parents at the door.

It was a quick ride to (m/n)'s school where the two dropped him off and headed to their respective jobs.

(m/n) walked towards his class and when entering, he was met with utter chaos. Kids were fighting and yelling over their toys and whose were better while others were napping or playing with themselves.

Seemingly unphased, the boy walked to his seat to wait for his friends—swinging his legs back and forth, tapping his finger against the desk nervously while fidgeting with the pink bunny in his lap.

"(m/n)!" Looking up, a bright dirty blonde skipped towards him a joyful fashion with a much less enthusiastic boy following behind him.

"Stu! Billy!" The boy beamed at his friends as they sat beside him. The three met at kindergarten and had an instant connection—one filled with heart and stomach flutters.

"What toy did you bring (m/n)? I brought Scooby!" Stu lifted up his toy up in the air; revealing a golden retriever puppy with an aqua collar attached to a gold pendant engraved with S.D.

"You really like Scooby Doo don't you Stu?"

"Duh! Now come on Billy, show (m/n) who you brought!" Billy let out a small smile at this and put his stuffed bear on the table. It wore a biker jacket with it's face representing an angry expression.

(m/n) and Stu glanced between the bear and Billy before giggling with one another. Billy made a face—similar to the bear's—and glared at the two. "Why are you laughing."

"Y-You look like your bear Billy." The blond giggled out.

"You have the same face." Billy glared harder at their words before shoving their shoulders harshly.

"Just show us what you brought (m/n)!"

Face brightening, (m/n) put the bunny on the table towards the two and gave a gummy smile. "I brought this!"

Billy and Stu glanced between one another and the bunny. "But it's pink?"

(m/n) tilted his head, eyes filled with confusion. "So?"

"Pink is for girls and bunnies are stupid and lame." Billy said bluntly, still slightly bitter.

(m/n) paused before looking at the pink bunny, "Lame? Stupid?" He whispered out before going quiet. Stu and Billy widened their eyes in concern as the boy began to emit small sniffles.

(m/n) had pearl-sized tears in his eyes and the two could only watch in horror as they rolled down his cheeks in a continuous flow. Standing up, they rushed towards (m/n) in attempts to console him.

"Don't cry (m/n)! Billy didn't mean it!"

"Yeah, your bunny isn't lame or stupid! And pink isn't just for girls, boys can like pink too!"

The two continued to softly coo the boy with apologies and encouragements until his tears began to fade.

"You mean it?" The (h/c) haired boy sniffed out. His friends immediately nodded as he began to brighten up.

"Come on, let's go play now!" Stu grabbed Billy and (m/n)'s hands as the three began to play with one another, innocently unaware of the dangers that would be caused in the future.

Yet, their fates had already been written; with it starting the day that Billy Loomis turned the age of 17.
