Loid's POV:
Anya had left to school a bit earlier than usual, she told me Damian was coming to pick her up, I figured I would leave it to him to ensure Anya's safety. Right now I had to worry about my other child. Or children I should say.
After the cafe, Yor has been feeling a bit ill. I suggested we go see the doctor to ensure she and the babies were okay, she assured me that she needed to rest, but something wasn't settling well with me. I prepared a light meal along with a settling tea for Yor, making my way to our room. She laid in bed, her face in complete discomfort, her breathing shallow and uneven. I placed the tray on the bedside table and gently sat beside her, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
"Yor, you really don't look well. I think we should go see a doctor," I said softly, trying to keep my voice calm despite the growing worry inside me.
She shook her head weakly, a faint smile appearing on her lips. "Loid, I'm fine. It's just the pregnancy... it's normal to feel this way sometimes."
I wasn't convinced. My training as a spy had taught me to trust my instincts, and right now, they were screaming that something was wrong. "Please, just let me call the doctor. It won't take long, and it will put my mind at ease."
Yor sighed and nodded, clearly too exhausted to argue. I quickly made the call, arranging for a house visit from our trusted family doctor. In the meantime, I helped Yor sit up and handed her the tea, hoping it would bring her some comfort. As we waited, our home phone began ringing, I made my way towards it answering it.
"Hello, am I speaking to Mr. Forger?" the voice said on the other line.
"Yes, I am Mr. Forger," I reply.
"Mr. Forger, I'm calling from Eden College," The voice said. My heart began pounding out of my chest, was Anya okay?
"Mr. Forger, Anya never arrived to school, we were calling to let you know,"
Before I could ask more questions, Yor began getting out of bed, as soon as she got up, her legs gave out, I rushed over to her side to prevent her from falling. She had lost consciousness. What was happening? Where was Anya? I can't wait for this doctor either, I have to take Yor to the hospital. I began carrying Yor in my arms, her weight feeling unusually light due to her weakened state. My mind raced with worry and fear, but I knew I had to stay focused. First, I needed to get Yor to the hospital, and then I would find Anya.
I hurried to the car, carefully placing Yor in the passenger seat and buckling her in. As I started the engine, I made a quick call to the doctor, informing him of the change in plans and our immediate need for emergency care. Dr. Stewart assured me he would meet us at the hospital.
The drive felt like an eternity, each second ticking by as my anxiety grew. I kept glancing at Yor, her face pale and her breathing shallow. My thoughts kept drifting to Anya. Where could she be? Why hadn't she made it to school? I needed answers, and I need to ensure Yor and the babies safety as well.
We arrived at the hospital, and I quickly flagged down a nurse to help me get Yor inside. Within moments, she was whisked away to be examined and treated. I gave the medical staff all the information they needed, my mind still spinning with worry.
As soon as Yor was in good hands, I stepped outside the hospital to make a series of urgent calls. First, I began by calling Anya's cellphone. It went straight to voicemail . I sighed in frustration, hoping she was safe. My next call was to the secret agency to inform them about Yor's situation and to request immediate backup. The line buzzed for a moment before connecting.
"This is Twilight. Code red. Yor is in the hospital. I need immediate assistance in locating my daughter," I said tersely.
"Understood, Twilight. We will dispatch a team right away," came the efficient response. Hanging up, I then dialed Franky. Three rings in he picked up.
