"Kaku!" You yelled puffing out your cheeks. You worked as a bartender at Buffalo's bar but often he would send you out to give the shipwrights of Water 7 lunch. You were happy too, normally you didn't understand the shipwright's antics but three years ago that changed for you when you met Kaku.
He was flying through the sky that day, you grew up in Water 7 so you didn't really believe your eyes seeing a man fly in a city that relies on water. You couldn't help yourself but fall in love with a man you never met, constantly looking up in the sky to see if he'll be flying. Eventually you had to get your head out of the clouds, and start looking for a job. You found one in a tavern that was opening up and ever since been there.
One day your cousin set up a system with the tavern to take food to his men at his company the Galley-La, which due to his dismay has been your second home when you found out your mysterious crush worked there. Your cousin found you even more annoying then Franky but didn't see any reason not to let you enter the holy sanctuary of ships, you didn't actually work as a shipwright but knew your way around one and can hold yourself up against Paulie. You kinda had to due to your outfit and how much you hit on Kaku. But refused you a job long before when he started the company. It's not like you were bad at making ships, you were just too much of a hassle.
"(Y/n)! What kind of outfit is that! That skirt is too short! And that top is showing way too much cleavage!" He yelled taking off his jacket to throw on to you. You didn't understand his deal, your outfit wasn't even that revealing.
"I don't want your disgusting jacket, who knows where it's been." You gagged at the thought before going to hug Kaku, causing the man to let off a slight blush and put his hand on your arm. Don't get him wrong, you were cute to him. But he was still at work with many things to be doing. "I rather have Kaku's!"
"Now (Y/n), no need to be causing a scene. I'm still at work."
"So you're saying out of work, I can do whatever I want to you?" You smiled brightly at him devastating Paulie with your words. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"She's a she devil... a succubus... there's no doubt in my mind! She must be taught a lesson!" Paulie started attacking you, triggering your response. You attacked back with just as much force, you weren't trying to kill each other but it was a way of how you proved who was right that day. Yeah this was a daily occurrence.
Lucci eventually walked towards Kaku, his bird doing the talking. You don't know exactly what they were talking about, but you swear just for an instant, your usually cheerful Kaku had an unnatural remorseless expression. It caught you off guard allowing Paulie to throw a punch at you.
"Ow! That hurt you bastard! Didn't your mother teach you to never hit a woman?!"
"I didn't hit a woman, I hit a she-devil!"
"What the hell is wrong with you!"
"Cover up!"
"It's too hot for that!"
"Enough you two, you guys argue like a married couple," Kaku called out cheerfully laughing at his statement as he watched two different reactions fall on your face. You were absolutely devastated at his analysis, while Paulie found it difficult to do anything other then blush at his coworkers statement. Silence filled the air. He honestly expected this reaction from the both of you.
"WE ARE NOT A COUPLE!" you both screamed in a desperate attempt to persuade him, but for two different reasons. One being obviously you liked him, not Paulie. Why Paulie was in constant denial about his feelings for you, because he knows you would never like him.
Blushes spread on both your cheeks at the accusations, causing a laugh from the guy with a square long nose. "Relax it was just a joke you two." He replied sheepishly and awkward smile coating his lips.
