The silence was soul crushing, the shock palpable. Uma was now laughing triumphantly as Ben wiped away Mal's kiss with disgust, her plan would now go unopposed. Mal fell to her knees, tears drops staining her gown. Evie dropped down beside her and held her, glaring up at Ben and Uma.

It was hard to remember at that moment that Ben wasn't in his right mind. Even so, her best friend's heart was breaking so hers was, too.

"So much for true love," Uma sneered at them, then turned back to the Fairy Godmother. "Bring down the barrier now!"

"I do not take orders from you."

"Ben! Make her. Use the Fairy Oath
she swore to the crown. You know, the one you told me about a little bit ago," she whispered.

"Ben, don't!" Evie didn't know who screamed out, there was so many voices, so much noise. She glanced down at the book in her lap. A spell! Maybe it can be reversed like Mal did last time.

"Mal, I have the book here. Use a counter spell. Do something! Mal?"

Mal's hands were holding the sides of her head, her eyes fixed and glowing green with pure magic. She looked more angry and unhinged than Evie has ever seen her. She didn't seem to register anything going on around her, lost in the turbulent storm of her thoughts.

Evie stood up, not knowing what exactly she could do, but she had to get Uma away from Ben at all costs. She met Jay and Carlos's eyes and they nodded, having come to the same conclusion.

"Fairy Godmother, I evoke your sworn fealty to my name and my crown. Obey me." As Ben said the words, Fairy Godmother was actively trying to resist the magic but it seemed there was consequences to that. She went down on her knees in pain, coughing up blood.

Jane cried and kneeled next to her mother. "Stop it, Ben! You're hurting her. Please! You're under a spell. You have to stop!"

"I am your king. You will not defy me. I evoke your power by the magical binding of the Oath, binding your power to my will," Ben stated and Fairy Godmother's strength seemed to leave her. She suddenly stood straight up, like a mechanical doll, her eyes glowing white.

"I am at your service, my king."

"Now!" Evie yelled out. The three VKs had slowly moved into position, now they each pounced at their target. Jay threw his whole body at Ben, tackling him to the ground before he could issue another order. Evie could see from the corner of her eye Belle and Beast had rushed over to snap Fairy Godmother out of her trance. Carlos and Evie both jumped Uma. She used her newfound powers to blast them off.
Evie hit the deck hard, her vision doubled when she sat up. Two Umas were walking leisurely closer to her.

"You think you can stop me? It's over. Ben? Ben!" Uma looks over to see Ben is completely focused on avoiding Jay's blows. Her fingers reached for her necklace only to find it gone. "Where--"

"Looking for this?" Carlos dangled the necklace over board.

"Give it back! Now!" Uma screeched.

"You want it?" He pulled out his slingshot and in one fluid motion, he lauched the necklace overboard before Evie could stop him.

"No, Carlos, don't--"

"What?"

Uma rushed past them with a smirk, and dove off the ship after her magical necklace.

"She is a SEA witch, Carlos!"

"Oops. Well, atleast she is away from Ben now?"

In that moment, the ship rocked as if it hit something big. "Oh no." Evie got knocked off her feet and her body rolled before she could right herself as another wave crashed into the starboard side. Screams were heard as everyone struggled to stay upright on the ship.
