Sunoo pov

Jungwon started laughing hysterically when Jake tried to fight Niki on the training ground. "I know his specialty is being a broker but I thought he was a better fighter than that," Jay said as he laughed with him. It has been a very long time since we last trained together like this. Niki had always trained us to prepare for fights but ever since we thought he was dead, none of us really practised anymore.

Jake was lying on the ground as Niki was standing above him laughing as well. "Well, I can tell you didn't practice every morning like I told you to." He said to Jake. "I thought you were dead! Who would punish me for not practising?" Jake said as Niki helped him get up. "If I were really dead I would've haunted you until you started practice again." They continued to joke around as we laughed.

Jungwon kept chuckling as he looked at the two and Jay was also smiling brightly. I was so happy everyone seemed to be in a good mood. As I looked at the other side of the field Heeseung was standing there with a slight smile as well. I was glad he was doing better. Ever since Luna joined us he was acting a bit off. Which was understandable. I mean, I would probably feel weird too in his situation. "Sunoo have you seen Mae yet today? I haven't spoken to her in a while." Jungwon asked me. I did notice the two were a bit distant from each other. I wondered if it was on purpose.

"Uhm, No I haven't maybe she's in her room?" When I finished my sentence Sunghoon and Mae came running toward us. "Where's Luna?" Sunghoon asked completely out of breath. I noticed Niki looked at Mae with a shocked expression before he ran off, probably to go and look for Luna. I was about to run after them when I saw Mae following her brother, but Jungwon held me back when Sunghoon started to speak. I stayed with them because I knew something was off.

"Her father called me. Saying he wanted to invite us over for dinner." Heeseung scoffed as Sunghoon said those words. "That doesn't make any sense? Why would he invite us over after trying to contact him for such a long time." Sunghoon looked up at the sky as he tried to catch his breath. "That was exactly what I was thinking. I think it is a trap." Jungwon put his hand away from me as he stepped forward. "We need to go repaired," he spoke and unfortunately, everyone knew what he was talking about.

Sunghoon seemed to struggle with something, but I wasn't sure what it was. Was he afraid of telling us something? "That isn't the only thing. He insisted on bringing Mae." We all fell quiet as he spoke those words. "What? Why?" Jake spoke clearly as confused as we all were. Heeseung took a couple of steps toward us and cleared his throat. "I know it sounds weird but my uncle hated her father a lot, maybe he wants her to join because he's afraid she's a threat to him." Sunghoon shook his head as he looked over at Heeseung.

"It doesn't make sense," Jungwon said. We all seemed to be confused about the situation. Maybe he just wanted to eat dinner with us to put all the bad things between us to rest. I mean, why would he invite us over to dinner otherwise? "I think," Jay started, causing everyone to look at him. "We need to go to this dinner party prepared. it is obviously a trap." Jay didn't speak often, but when he did he was often right. He is someone who analyses things until he knows what's going on so if Jay says it's a trap it probably is. I sighed as I looked at Jungwon. He seemed a bit puzzled by it all. I wonder what he was thinking about.

"She's gone," Niki yelled as he made his way back to the field. "What?" Everyone asked at the same time. "James told us one of our guards had been bribed to bring her home." I dropped my shoulders. I thought we could trust her. I really felt like she was genuine when I spoke to her. I guess I was wrong this entire time. "Where is this guard now?" Sunghoon asked as he walked toward Niki. "I killed him," Niki said as he tried to play it cool but I knew he was nervous about Sunghoon's reaction. Sunghoon gaze turned angry. There was something in his gaze that hadn't been there in a long time. A kind of anger that had been hidden since Mae joined us. We all felt the tension when his gaze turned stern. "we could've interrogated him, why did you kill him without my permission?"
