A/N Today's chapter will hopefully be a little bit longer than the last couple.

Artemis POV

He nodded once again. Standing his hand brushed mine again and I shivered from the thought. He walked off without bidding me a goodbye. I sat there for a moment, thinking to myself 'what

just happened?'

I considered following him, but there was no reason. I took one last look around before flashing off to my camp.

"Milady," Thalia greeted. I nodded towards her as she walked up to my side. We started off away from the spot where minutes ago Perseus was lying.

"Turns out the male was only trying to get out of the infirmary," I started. Looking over to Thalia. She nodded in agreement.

"I was going to contact you about his condition, but you were in a council meeting so I figured it was probably best to not disturb you." She replied contemplating what to say next.

"What was his condition?" I asked.

"We think that all of his broken ribs have healed; however, we do believe that he still had a concussion." She looked up in the trees as if there was something watching her. "He also brought us a new hunter."

"Really, where is she?" I asked in curiosity

"She's back in the dining tent. She was eating some just before you arrived." Thalia said, glancing back at camp.

"Great, let's get back to the dining tent to swear her in." I replied, turning on my heel and walking the other way. Thalia caught up and nodded.

We walked back into camp and moved towards the dining tent. I pulled open the flap and Thalia walked in first I followed. Inside, the lights were off except for the light that sat directly over the table.

Sitting there was a young girl, maybe five or six years old. She looked up and her eyes widened. "Are you Artemis?" She asked, shocked.

"Yes... And you are?" I answered while sitting down across from her.

She still seemed shocked for a moment before Thalia sat down. "I'm Alice Clarke." She replied.

Thalia turned the lights on, so I was better able to distinguish her features. She had sandy blonde hair and very mischievous looking blue eyes.

Suddenly a bright blue light with the Caduceus appeared over her head. 'Daughter of Hermes' I thought.

"What does that mean?" She asked looking up at the Caduceus above her head wirily.

"It means you are a daughter of the god Hermes." Thalia beat me to answer her question.

"Really? Cool." She replied proudly.

Percy POV

Artemis pulled her hand up brushing her tears out of her eyes. She took a deep breath, "Perseus I-"

I cut her off, "Just Percy Milady." I looked at her out of the corner of my eye. She straightened a little and looked surprised that I had just cut her off.

"Pers- Percy, I'm sorry." I looked over at her. Her eyes were closed and she had a tear tracing down her cheek.

I thought to myself, 'is she seriously crying right now... Over me, a male.' I brushed the thought away, blaming it on getting embarrassed in front of the council.

I took my eyes off of her and looked across the path. "There is no need to apologize. I was in the wrong."

"You weren't in the wrong Percy," She defended.
