"is it cool that i said all that? is it chill that you're in my head?"

THAT morning, Marinette decided to bring some of the tester pastries for Nino and Alya, now that the recipe was finalized. She would always give them early access to new sweets from her family's bakery. It was definitely one of the perks of being a close friend of hers.

It was a shame that they couldn't make it yesterday, though, while the pastries were still freshly baked.

Then again, that would've meant not spending time with Adrien.

It was kind of funny. She was friends with Paris' heartthrob and no one knew. No one except her parents, of course. The proper realization that Alya still didn't have a clue actually surprised her. She was impressed at the fact that she could keep a secret like this from her for this long, however she was firm with keeping it that way until she couldn't anymore.

It was sort of thrilling, if she thought about it. This thing was her little secret.

The texts, him coming to her house, and everything in between.

The raven-haired girl holds up the bakery box in her grasp to Alya and Nino as soon as she enters her classroom.

"I brought the testers for you two since you couldn't make it," she announces enthusiastically.

Alya claps her hands with the same energy. "Yes! This is why I love you," she exclaims as she envelops Marinette in a quick hug.

She laughs, raising her eyebrows at the brunette girl's statement. "Because I bring you pastries?"

This comment earns her a solid nudge. "You know what I mean Marinette!"

She lets Alya off the hook with a giggle.

Nino leans forwards in his seat, eyeing the pastry box in interest. "So....what flavours are these delicacies?"

The two girls turn their heads, a few seconds passing before the pair share a snicker.

"I think sometimes you make it painfully obvious that you have a sweet tooth," Alya remarks with a shake of her head.

Nino holds his hands up like he was surrendering. "Hey, I do have a love for all things sweet," he retorts, his facial expressions adding to the flirtiness of his tone.

Marinette scrunches her nose in distaste jokingly and her reaction simply sparks a synced laughter from the couple.

"My bad Marinette, my bad," Nino apologises, and this is when she drops the act. "All good!"

Alya and Nino have been dating for a while now, and she was happy for them. It started when Nino was a new student, and Alya being Alya decided to give him a warm welcome. The rest is history.

Marinette hasn't once felt an ounce of envy from witnessing her friends' romance continuously blossom, however there were always little moments where she wished to have something like that in her life.
