Hyunjin stirred awake, blinking against the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. His eyes adjusted slowly, and he became aware of a comforting warmth against his side. As he fully woke up, he realized he was wrapped around Felix, who was nestled comfortably in his arms, his head resting against Hyunjin's chest.
Hyunjin's breath caught for a moment, his heart fluttering. He had never been this close to Felix before, not in such an intimate, peaceful way. The previous night's memories were a blur, but he couldn't recall falling asleep like this. Carefully, he moved his hand, gently brushing a strand of Felix's blonde hair out of his face, revealing his serene, sleeping expression. Hyunjin smiled softly, appreciating the rare tranquility of Felix's features.
He knew his heart would not be able to contain all this if it kept on happening but what could he do? poor thing...
After a while, Felix began to stir, his eyes fluttering open. He looked up at Hyunjin, a gentle smile spreading across his face as he took in their position.
"Good morning," Felix mumbled, his voice rough with sleep.
"Good morning," Hyunjin replied, his voice soft and warm. They stayed like that for a moment longer, savoring the quiet intimacy of the morning.
Reluctantly, Hyunjin untangled himself from Felix and sat up, rubbing his eyes. Felix did the same, though the warmth of their closeness lingered between them.
"Come in," Hyunjin called out.
The door opened to reveal Hyunjin's mother, her face lit with an excited smile. "Good morning, boys. I hope I'm not interrupting anything," she said, her eyes twinkling mischievously.
Hyunjin cleared his throat, a smile tugging at his lips. "No, Mom. What's up?"
"I have some news," she said, stepping into the room. "I've decided to go on a trip. I think it's time I took a break and let you handle things here, Hyunjin."
Hyunjin blinked in surprise. "A trip? Where are you going?"
"I've been invited to a retreat by an old friend. It's a chance for me to relax and unwind," she explained. "But don't worry, I'll take two bodyguards and a maid with me for security and assistance."
Hyunjin hesitated; the idea of managing everything in his mother's absence was daunting. "I'm not sure, Mom. What if something happens?"
"You're more than capable, Hyunjin," she assured him. "Besides, you'll have Felix here to help you. Right, Felix?"
Felix nodded, offering a supportive smile. "Of course, Mrs. Hwang. We'll manage everything just fine."
After some more persuasion and reassurance from his mother, Hyunjin finally agreed. "Okay, Mom. You deserve the break. Just promise to stay safe."
She hugged him, her eyes glistening with gratitude. "Thank you, Hyunjin. I'll leave today afternoon."
hyunjin was surprised by how soon it was "This afternoon?! Mom, you're crazy!!"
Mrs. Hwang giggled but put on a reassuring smile. "Will you let me go?"
hyunjin signed knowing he won't ever get his way with his mother "Yes Mom.."
his mom smiled as she went to her room notifying him that she already had breakfast and they could ask the chef to cook something for them.
As Hyunjin turned around, Felix popped a question, "Can I cook today? You know, breakfast?"
Hyunjin smiled and nodded. "Felix, I'm going to take a shower. You can make breakfast, and after eating, you can shower too."
felix smiled, his eyes glistening like stars "Thanks hyunjin!"
