Shubman took Ishan back to the motel after he was cleared to leave the hospital. Mayank went with them. His leg was in a cast, healing. Shan would have gone with them, but he told Shubman he was going to go look for the Jugnu family, to help the police find them.

The next morning, Shubman woke up noticing that his mate wasn't next to him.
