a/n : this is the announcement that people HATE and stop reading at, so i'm sorry but...

hate me or not idk, idc, im tired of sticking to baby's plot so its gonna go along mine ill have some of the og lines, events, and scenes but yeahhh

while i love the plot, its just hard to squeeze niccolo into some of these situations especially when im trying to bring gia and nico tg so it'd just be sm easier for me to go along w my own plot.

GIA sat on her bed, listening to some of Marco's ranting about school.

It was the next day after the night before. Despite what went down, Gia forgave Marco too easily and there they were sitting on her bed.

As he talked her ear off, his words went through one of Gia's ears and out the other.

She wasn't exactly paying attention as she was texting Niccolo about their project.

As Marco explained how Mr. Costa almost gave him a detention for gum-chewing, he noticed her gaze that avoided him.

"Are you listening?" Marco asked, furrowing his brows at her. Gia's eyes flickered up from her phone to Marco. She turned her phone off and set it beside her, giving up on texting Niccolo when she got no response from him.

"Yeah." Gia said, nodding. Marco narrowed his eyes on her for a moment, not buying her white lie.

"Don't give me this bullshit." He rolled his eyes, lying back on the bed and resting his hand on Gia's knee.

Gia stared down at his hand, a glimpse of disfavor across her face.

"My mom's really happy you're here, you know. She's missed having you around, surprising—" Gia shut down her sentence after realizing what she was about to say.

Marco scoffed, not even paying any mind to what she was about to say, pulling out his phone. "Who wouldn't?" He grinned at his screen as he typed.

Gia intently watched his grin widen, her brow cocking in wonder. "Who are you texting?" She wondered, a slight scoff in her voice.

Marco glanced at her briefly, slightly and so subtly tilting his screen away. "Just some new kid." He shrugged.

Gia gave him one last weird glare before her eyes shifted to her alarm clock, reading the time of 5:02 pm.

She was supposed to meet Niccolo at the park for their project at 5:05, and knew that if she didn't leave now, she'd be late.

She jumped out of bed and began slipping her shoes on. "You've got to go. I have to go meet up with—Camilla for our project." She stated, gathering her bag together with her project necessities.

"Oh, I'll come with." Marco said, standing up as well. Gia froze and stared at him, shaking her head no.

"Y-You can't. You'll be a distraction." She stammered, crossing her arms.
