The morning after my suspension was meant to end, I found myself waking up later than usual. The past week had been a blur of reflection and intense training. As I lay in bed, the early sunlight filtering through the blinds, I felt a rare sense of calm. There was no rush to get ready; I needed this moment to reset myself.

Slowly, I got up, took my time in the shower, and dressed without hurry. The dorms were unusually quiet, a stark contrast to the usual hustle and bustle of the morning routine. It was almost as if everyone had disappeared.

By the time I left my room and headed to class, the hallways were eerily silent. When I arrived at the classroom, I found it empty. Confusion flickered through me before I remembered that Aizawa-sensei had mentioned something about training in the field. I sighed, realizing I had missed that part of the announcement.

I made my way to Training Field One, the familiar path giving me a sense of direction. As I approached, I could hear the sounds of heavy breathing and occasional groans. I quickened my pace, curious about what I would find.

When I arrived at the field, the sight that greeted me was unexpected. My classmates were scattered across the ground, some barely conscious and others struggling to catch their breath. It looked like they had been through an intense battle. Aizawa-sensei stood nearby, his usual stern expression fixed on the scene.

"What happened here?" I asked, stepping closer to him.

Aizawa-sensei turned to me, his eyes narrowing slightly. "This was a test against Mirio Togata. We wanted to see how they would fare against a top hero candidate."

As if on cue, Mirio appeared, his bright smile and easygoing demeanor almost at odds with the exhausted state of my classmates. He noticed me and his smile widened.

"Hey there! You must be Izuku," Mirio said, his voice cheerful. "Ready for a little spar?"

Before I could respond, he launched himself at me, phasing through the ground and reappearing right in front of me. His movements were quick, almost too quick for the untrained eye to follow. But I was ready.

I evaded his initial strike with ease, sidestepping and countering with a swift kick. Mirio phased through my attack, but I anticipated his next move. Using a combination of my agility and combat skills, I matched him blow for blow, evading and countering each of his attacks.

We moved across the field in a flurry of strikes and dodges. I could feel the eyes of my classmates on us, their curiosity and surprise palpable. Mirio was strong, his quirk making him a formidable opponent, but I had faced worse. I used my training and instinct to keep up, making it look like a close match.

Every move Mirio made, I countered with precision. His quirk, Permeation, allowed him to phase through objects, but it required timing and prediction. I observed his patterns, anticipating his moves. He was skilled, no doubt, but I had faced numerous challenges that honed my reflexes and instincts.

As he came at me with another swift attack, I ducked under his punch, using the momentum to deliver a powerful uppercut. Mirio phased through it, his body becoming intangible for a split second before solidifying again. He grinned, clearly enjoying the challenge.

"You're good, Izuku," he said, his tone genuinely impressed. "But let's see how you handle this."

He vanished from sight, diving underground. I stayed alert, my senses heightened. He reappeared behind me, aiming a punch at my back. I twisted just in time, grabbing his wrist and using his momentum to flip him over my shoulder. Mirio landed gracefully, his expression serious now.

For several minutes, we continued our dance of attack and counterattack. I used Renewal Taekwondo techniques to keep him at bay, blending speed and power seamlessly. My mind was focused, calculating each move with precision. Despite the intensity, I made sure not to overexert myself.
