I never expected there to be so many people waiting for the ships arrival.
The big boat had appeared in the distance and everyone went crazy. We met quiet a few people and over heard some stories.
Some people even asked Wesley and I what happened to my leg.
We winded up telling our whole story to the people anyway but they actually found it interesting.I thought we had it bad. I heard some pretty messed up stories about what other people had gone through.
In the end though, everyone was just excited that they had made it here to be saved. That's what everyone wanted in the end.
The whole group was separated and talking to other people.
A loud honking sent people screaming and yelling. The ship had finally docked.
My eyes widened when multiple different men in suits poured out of the boat and onto the wooden platform. They pointed their guns at everyone that was to close.
They started yelling instructions to us which I couldn't exactly hear but I knew Wesley had because of his sudden tense form.I looked at him.
"What's wrong..?""They are going to check each person over. If they have to serious of an injury anywhere on them then they will not be let on the ship.."
I stiffened.
"I knew this was all good for nothing."He shook his head.
"I'll get you in. I just have to convince them...we'll have to lie a bit. You up for it?""Yea as long as we get away with it. You already know I'm practically beast at lying. But what are we going to say?"
"I just have to convince them that you'll just need to be checked over and given a prosthetic soon."
"I don't think that will work."
"I'm sure it will work if I say your my girlfriend," He winked and I slapped his arm.
"No fair! I can't do anything to you because I'm in this crippled state."
"Not my problem Autumn. Now, are we gonna get in line or wait for the boat to leave without us?"
I shook my head and pointed to the line. He laughed and walked towards where the line of people ended.
"Maybe if I just hop on one foot and lean on you they'd believe it better?"
He shrugged.
"It's a possibility. Are you up for standing on one foot for the next half hour?"I shrugged.
"Only one way to find out."I put my hands on his shoulder and hopped out of his arms.
I landed on my good foot and balanced my other one off the ground.I looked at my bad leg and moved it.
"Hey do you think we could take this tourniquet off of it? I think my nub is going to fall off if more of my blood flow is blocked."
Wesley laughed and crouched down.
He took my leg gently in one hand and undid the knot that was around my ankle with the other.Once it was off he tossed it aside and placed my leg slowly to the ground.
When we moved up in the line he turned to me and smirked."Ya know your weird when your quiet."
"Wow thanks."
"You know you love me so shut it with all the sarcasm."
"Yea yea. You know you'd be more interesting to talk to if you didn't criticize everything I did."
"Well its not my fault that I practically make a mental note of everything everyone does."
"Creep much?"
