Apparently, there is no power in the ring. Without the communication system, we cannot activate it manually or through technology. That means we can't get there at all. However, despite my friend slipping into a slump, I knew that she had solved bigger problems than this one.

So that is exactly what she did.

My trust held strong when Raven told us of the one solution to all of our worries: The satellite tower. Bellamy, Clarke and I were instructed to follow her whilst the other four continued in the cockpit. 'All hands on deck' as Raven referred to it - multitasking at its finest.

I'm unsure entirely of how everything works, but I follow Raven's lead. I trust her. She has found a solution and we can do this. Plus, it's a lovely sight to see her chipper once again. Although a new foresight is what brings about her happy mood - Raven will get to do a spacewalk in order for us to board the ring. The four of us put on our helmets before going outside - the concentration of radiation in the air becoming increasingly toxic. The sky is lighter outside, tinged with a yellow hue that makes the foggy atmosphere a sort of dystopia. Apparently, the tower is a kilometer away. There and back is all we need to do. Raven has explained the plan to the three of us multiple times already but truly the reason why all three of us are here is because John and Monty aren't back and they might need help carrying the item. "(Y/n) tell me the steps once more," Raven says, ruffling through bag for equiptment as we walk.

"Plug that thing into the base of the tower," I start. The thing is something she will give me from her bag soon. "SAT-STAR-ONE is the name of the dish." Raven smiles as she hands over the device before allowing me to put it into the bag. My sister repeats the name of the dish, followed by Raven's own repition. If we remember anything, it needs to be the right fucking dish.

"The graph will flash green and that is when you know it's on," Raven re-clarifies. "When it says send, hit send." Pretty simple instructions. "Now-"

Raven's speech ends when her head turns to the treeline. There is a figure stumbling out towards us. It's John. He carries the oxygen device - which is much larger than I initially assumed - but at the sight of us, the boy falls under it's weight. "Murphy!" Bellamy stresses, running to his side.

I follow the steps with urgency, slinging the bag over my shoulder. "Where is Monty?" I question desperately.

"In trouble," John makes clear. "He had to expose his hands and- and he passed out," John stutters. "If we go now, we can get him." They need to get him and get the device back to the lab.

"Clarke and (Y/n) will be fine aligning the dish," Raven tells Bellamy. He is bigger and ultiamtely stronger and thus she has deemed him best for retrieving Monty. I want to dispute, reasoning I could help with Monty's radiation burns, but I will have time to do that after the dish is aligned and we are safe into our space travels. "The dish aligning is easy," Raven tells Bellamy when his gaze lingers on me. "Honestly a one person job but two memory banks are better than one. The other four will help me with the generator," Raven deduces.

"Bellamy," I say, glancing between the four of them.

"(Y/n) don't talk about dying right now," Bellamy pleads. His eyes trail into the forest before coming back to me.

"No," I shake my head with a slight smile. "I was going to say hurry," I plead.

He returns my smile. "Raven you got a radio?" He asks and I shake my head. Bellamy grabs the one from his pocket and tosses it to me. "I love you," he says before turning, hauling John so they can go retrieve Monty.

"I love you," I reply under my breath. My eyes trail on the time counter on my sister's wrist. 00:25. Fucking hell this is close. "Save yourselves ten minutes to run back from the tower," Raven tells us, twisting me around to open the bag and ensure everything is inside. "If you don't, you might be left behind," she taunts jokingly. Raven twirls me once more, deeming we are ready. My friend grins through the stress. I smile back. "I love you two," she says breathlessly,
