Me and Alex pull in the driveway, we both get out, and walk to the door, he unlocks it. "So what we feeling? Movie? Studying which sucks butt? Or board games?" I look around the house, I haven't been here for a while. I don't want to do anything that uses my brain. "Definitely a movie." He gives a nod with a smile. "Definitely a movie huh? Alright, which one, Diehard, 300 or the Titanic." I honestly don't know or care. "300." "Alright." I turn the TV on, he pops the CD in, the machine generates the movie, and the screen turns on to the title of 300. He sits down then gets back up. "Want any snacks?" I think, 𝘐𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮. "Any rocky road ice cream?" He smirks deviously, "I'll be right back." I look at the screen, it's the beginning of where the guy does the voiceover, 𝘐 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘴, 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯? 𝘝𝘦𝘳𝘺. Alex comes back with a carton of rocky road ice cream, some Twix, M&M's and Red Vines. "Where'd you get all this?" He hands me the ice cream, "My mom's candy stash, and ice cream from the freezer." I smile and nod. "She won't get mad?" He shrugs. We both sit on the couch each of us on the opposite sides and we lay on our elbow sideways with our feet overlapping like we usually do.

Halfway through the movie, my eyes start to flutter and fall, flutter and fall, and soon, they shut. I wake up, my eyes and body are achingly sore, the ice cream disappeared, and so did Alex. I look around, the tv is still playing the movie, but where the hell is Alex. 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮, 𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨, I tell myself. A couple minutes later, which felt like a decade, he walks in the living room, "Hey sleeping beauty, you have some drool." He points to the corner of his mouth gesturing to my mouth. I put my hand over my mouth, Alex says "Eww." with a disgusted face, my mouth is dry, no drool. "Shut up." I glare at him, he laughs. "I'm messing with you, chill out." He sits down right next to me and lays his head back on the back of the couch. "What shall we do Eve's." I stare at him. "What?" He looks at me with a smile, "Nothing."

After Alex's house, I head to Mrs. Rockwell's house, I need to walk Finn. It's 7pm. Finn is Mrs. Rockwell's labrador retriever, he's super cute, I walk him when Mrs. Rockwell's on a trip somewhere and she can't bring Finn. I'm standing in the driveway then walk to the door, luckily, I have her spare key in my pocket, she gave it to me to walk Finn. I turn the key then the knob, the door opens, and Finn comes sprinting at me, "Hey boy." He licks my hands and face, I push him away just so he can't get my face, and I grab the leash and hook it on his collar. I take him out and lock the door, we walk down the street to the fenced in dog park. Once were in the park, I unleash him and let him run wild, I sit on the bench. Finn is sniffing another dog's butt. 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨. I look around to see who else is here, a woman with a Pitbull, a couple other dogs and their owners, and him, Anthony. He's sitting on a different bench across from me. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦? Then the words pop in my head 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. Ugh. I turn my face so maybe he doesn't notice me. I take a peek at him, and he's walking over, to me. My face feels hot, I smile, "Hey." He's wearing shorts and a grey hoodie. "Hey." I look at the dogs and wonder which one is his, then ai remember the German Shepherd he had at his house. "What's her name?" Anthony looks around and nods at the beautiful German Sheperd. "There, RG." "RG?" He smiles, "Shes my mom's dog, she named her RG which stood for rodeo girl, we lived in the country before we moved here." I stare at him, "Country?" He gives a soft painful smile. "Yeah, us old country folks had to move out." His voice mockingly, having a hint of an accent, my face broke out into laughter, he laughs too." He smiles. "Yeah." A minute goes by, and he asks, "So, which ones yours?" I look for Finn, and point. "He's not mine, but I walk him for Mrs. Rockwell, his names Finn." "Oh, pretty dog." I smile. "Yeah."

Finn and RG mess around, wagging their tails and barking at each other while running around. "Everleigh." He looks at the dogs, while I'm looking at him. "Yeah?" He glances at me. "I read some poetry last night, I give an approving face and nod. "Yeah?" He smiles. "Yeah, it was really interesting to see peoples mixed feelings written so beautifully" I smile staring at him, he's so wonderful. "Hey, what do you think their doing?" I follow at where his eyes are, it's RG and Finn, they are trying to hop the fence, it's the lower side of the fence, I'm scared their going to make it. "Making a plan to escape." I smirk, no way their gonna make it. Anthony laughs. After a couple try's, Finn jumps, right over the fence. "Shit." Anthony looks at me then the dogs, where Finn was supposed to be and where he is now. I get up and sprint through the gate to the other side where Finn is, Anthony follows, Finn thinks were playing chase. RG after a couple try's, joins us, her and Finn run around making us look like idiots. Anthony jumps to catch RG and fails to do so. I on the other hand end up catching her when she runs past me, I grab her collar. She growls playfully, Finn runs up and bumps into me, I'm now laying on the ground holding RG's collar. Anthony has the chance to grab Finn's collar. "Grab him!" Anthony runs towards Finn and grabs his collar. We switch dogs and attach our leashes on them. I lay down on the grass, out of breath, Anthony lays beside me. "You good?" He smiles and moves his head towards me to make eye contact. "Yeah, you good?" "Yeah, amazing." We both start laughing.

Me and Anthony sit up, RG and Finn are wagging their tails, full of energy. Finn walks over to me and licks my face, I pet him. "Ready to go little rascal?" I smile. Anthony stands up and holds out a hand, I take it. He pulls me up, and our hands linger a little too long, he pulls aways. He pulls his hoodie off, right now, he looks really good, the sweat collecting on his forehead, the shirt sticking to his body, I want to kiss him. I'm not thinking straight. "After that dog fiasco, I'm done for the day, clocking out." I turn to leave tugging Finn with me. "Yeah, for real. I'll see you at school tomorrow, yeah?" I smile. "Yeah." He smiles. "Alright, see ya." "See ya."
