Dad sighed and turned his attention to Sevika.

"Can we pick this up another time?" Dad said tiredly as he sat back in his chair.

Sevika's mouth sat in a tight line, but after a few seconds, she nodded her head.

"Don't forget about what I said Vander." Sevika replied as she walked towards me and the door. "Keep up the trainin' kid. I'm looking forward to fightin' you." She added with a ruffle to my hair.

"Likewise." I replied.

Sevika raised an eyebrow at me and smirked before she left Dad's office.

"What did you want to talk about Dina?" Dad asked.

"You know what I want to talk about!" I said with a scoff while I folded my arms around my chest.

"Do not take that tone with me young lady. You are still my child, and you will speak to me with respect." Dad chided.

"I don't mean to me disrespectful Dad, but you haven't wanted to talk about what happened to me and I'm just a little frustrated. And coming to terms with what happened to Mom..." I replied trailed off, voice cracking.

I was a lot like my Dad.

I didn't want to show weakness, but I could fall apart in front of him. He understood what I was going through so I felt safe with allowing my emotions to seep through.

Dad's eyes softened at the mention of Mom.

"I... I understand Dina. Really, I do." Dad said sadly. He looked older at the mention of Mom. Sadder too. "What do you want to know? I'll answer everything that I can." He added.

"What- what happened to me? Why did I have blood on my hands? Why do I have this big gap in my memory?" I asked, hands clenching.

Dad's chair creaked as he leaned forward and put his hands on his desk. He fiddled with a pan that was near his hand then looked up into my eyes seriously. He was making me nervous as he thought about how to answer my multiple questions.

Was I going to be happy when he answered my questions?

Did I really want him to answer them?

Well, it was too late now, so I braced myself for whatever he was about to say.

"You remember your mother had magic?" Dad asked.

I nodded my head.

"For you to know what runs through your veins Dine, you will need to know your mother's history. Your mother's magic was... special. She was a prodigy in Noxus. The best of the best. But she was also... dangerous. Your mother was a kind soul, but she was an elite fighter and even better than Sevika or me."

My eyes widened at the information Dad was saying.

"Because of her prowess Noxus wanted her and her magic for themselves. They are a greed people who take and take but never give anything back. I hope you never have to meet that side of your family, Dina. And before ask, no, I will not tell you who they are."

I nodded at that, but I wasn't happy about it.

It was my family to...

Didn't I have the right to know?

But if they really were how Dad described...

Then I don't know if I really did want to meet and know them.
