Remember in Chapter 11 when Perci mentioned how he and Cocon had met before but didn't see each other for two years? This is what happened.

The room was quiet and the lights were dark.

A figure of what looked like a man had his head down on a desk. The light of the computer shone on him as something on the screen continued to load. His eyes were closed so he couldn't see anything, though it didn't matter too much. He was supposed to be working on better security and despite it being so important, to him it was just another day of work that didn't matter. He was way too relaxed in the moment to even think about what he was doing.

There was nobody else in the room with him. It was only himself and that's the way he always liked it. The room could've been entirely quiet if it weren't for the sound his computer was making while trying to load. So the moment it did stop and made a constant beeping noise, he heard it. The ears on top of his head even began flickering before lowering entirely to try not to hear it at all. He only got more annoyed the longer it went on and let out a low groan while lifting up his head. His hair stuck to the side of his head and he yawned, clicking at the computer as it stopped.

He yawned again for a second and slowly opened his silver colored eyes, squinting at the screen. To the side of him were a stack of papers, mainly blueprints, that he reached for. Though, his hand bumped into them and the whole stack fell on the ground, the papers flying everywhere. His ears lowered in annoyance as he got ready to pick them up before grabbing his tablet and checking the time to see it was 3am.

Despite the late time, he heard noise as his ears flickered towards the door. Someone was clearly standing in front of it. But he didn't turn his head just yet though. He kept his eyes on the papers on the floor and just laid his head back down on the desk, ready to sleep.

This kind of life made him want to never wake up.

"Perci."

Hearing his name made him finally lift up his head. His tail ended up lowering at the same time but either way, he kept a calm look.

"Interesting. It's pretty late for someone as young as you to still be awake."

"Mhm." Perci lazily responded for a second before grabbing a pen and clipboard, rolling back his shoulders and sitting up. "So, what do you need from me? I assume you do need something because you can't ever do anything on your own."

"Do you really think you're that smart?"

"Yes, I do. And I think it's also past your bedtime."

"Don't you have to sleep outside, you idiot dog?"

The pen in his hand was suddenly crushed and though he smiled, an anger mark could be seen on his cheek. "What do you want from me, you useless waste of space?"

Although they stepped back slightly at the sight of it, they still stood their ground well. "Do you really think you're that intimidating? Don't forget you're a 2-Star."

"Answer the question."

"The leader's assistant wants you. Don't even ask me why, just hurry up and go. I don't want to get in trouble."

"You should. I'd prefer to see you dead more than anything."

"..." They didn't have a rebuttal and ended up walking away, soon being far enough to where he couldn't hear their footsteps.

'...Well that was pretty close. Arguing with a 4-Star was a stupid choice.' He let out a small sigh and quickly picked up the papers, putting them in a messy pile.
