For dinner, Destiny had reserved a table at a fancy rooftop restaurant in the city, an hour drive from the villa.
They changed into formal clothes and got in the car, driving to the restaurant. Kayde and Alex tagging along in the other car. Sasha and her boyfriend were free to do whatever they wanted in the meantime.
Aaron once again had to praise his wife's choice and wealth as they got out of the car and Destiny handed the keys to the valet.
With arms linked, they went up to the reception.
"Archer."
"Please follow this way, ma'am, sir." A teen girl led them to the rooftop table, isolated from the crowd, giving them the perfect privacy.
Food and red wine were already served, and a gift box sat on top of the table.
"Open it." Destiny urged as Aaron picked it up, eyes dancing in curiosity.
A small velvety square box it was when he tore apart the wrapping paper. His hand shook for some reason as he opened the lid and his heart leapt up at the sight.
A pair of, simple yet elegant, couple rings sat inside, adorned with diamonds and their initals carved on each ring.
With teary eyes, he looked up to meet the ones that bore the whole world of him and he took a shaky breath in.
Destiny didn't say anything as she pulled out one and held Aaron's hand in hers.
"I know we were married under bad circumstances, we didn't even exchange rings or any vows. I'm really sorry it took me two years to realize that. Back then, I never even imagined that I'd found love in you, my world in you, but now I do. And I want to re-enact our wedding here.
Because, Aaron, you've come into my life as a business deal, but became my whole universe in the span of a few months. You've made me smile, fall in love, laugh, enjoy life in a different light. Now, I never want to even dream of it without your presence.
So, Aaron, my baby, my sunshine, would you be so kind to keep lighting up my world for the rest of our lives?"
Aaron's breath hitched in his throat as he could barely make out the girl's face through his blurred vision. But his smile was as wide as ever.
