Eva
My heart raced as I took in the sight, my mind struggling to process what I was seeing. Lorenzo's gaze met mine, and for a moment, we just stared at each other, the only sound being his labored breathing.
I felt like I was frozen in place, my legs unable to move, my voice caught in my throat.
"Lorenzo, oh my god, what happened?" I exclaimed, rushing towards him.
But to my surprise, Lorenzo's expression turned cold, his eyes hardening as he straightened up, his body language warning me to keep my distance.
"I don't need your help, Eva," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "Just leave me alone."
But I refused to back down. My concern and worry gave way to frustration and anger.
"Lorenzo, don't be ridiculous," I scolded, my voice firm and stern. "You're clearly hurt and in need of help. Stop being stubborn and accept my assistance."
Lorenzo's eyes widened in surprise, clearly not expecting me to stand up to him. He seemed taken aback by my boldness, his expression softening ever so slightly.
"I...I don't need your help," he repeated, but his voice lacked conviction.
I crossed my arms, my gaze fixed on him. "Don't lie to me, Lorenzo. You do need help, and I'm offering it. Now, are you going to accept it or do I need to call someone else for assistance?"
My stern tone seemed to snap him out of his stubbornness, and he nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving mine. "Fine...Eva."
I helped him to his bedroom, his arm around my shoulders, his limp more pronounced with each step. I couldn't help but feel a surge of concern for him.
As we reached the bed, I gently eased him onto the mattress, his eyes closing in relief.
"Enzo we need to call the doctor",I said looking at him.
"My doctor is busy treating my men who are more injured than me.They need medical help more than I do." He tells me in a low voice.
"Come on then, I'm cleaning you up" I said in a firm voice so he does not argue.
He opens his mouth to say something than changes his mind when i give him 'Don't you dare argue on this right now' look.
"Okay.Fine" He says with a sigh.
I helped him to the bathroom, his arm still around my shoulders, his legs wobbly beneath him.
As we reached the counter I gently sat Lorenzo on it, his eyes met mine, filled with a mix of pain and mischief.I searched for the first aid kit in the cabinet below and I found it.
I cupped his face in my hands, my thumbs tracing the curves of his cheeks. His skin was warm to the touch, and I could feel his tension melting away under my gentle caress.
I began to clean his face, my fingers brushing against his skin with a soft, soothing touch. His eyes closed, and a sigh escaped his lips as he relaxed into my care. I worked slowly, carefully, my heart aching at the sight of his bruises and cuts.
As I cleaned his face, my gaze lingered on his features, taking in the sharp angles of his jawline, the fullness of his lips, and the piercing gaze of his eyes. My touch was tender, my hands cradling his face as if it were a precious treasure.
Lorenzo's eyes fluttered open, his gaze locking onto mine. A sly smirk spread across his face, and he teased, "You're enjoying this, aren't you? Playing nurse to the big, bad Lorenzo."
I blushed, my cheeks flushing with color. "Shut up, Enzo," I replied, chuckling softly.
As I finished tending to Lorenzo's face, my gaze drifted down to his torso, where his shirt was stained with blood. My heart raced slightly at the sight, my concern for his well-being evident.
