Preparing for Dolores's wedding has definitely kept the whole family busy. Why must weddings be so complicated? With two weeks left till the wedding me and Tia Julieta are still finalizing the menu.

"So, let's see what we have planned already." Tia said bringing out her notebook.

We had put the foods we knew they would like best on a list and had gone through how doable it would be. Thankfully, we wouldn't have to cook all the foods by ourselves, but it would still be a lot.

"Let's see. Mariano's mom will be making the sopa de lenejas. Santiago and his team will be making the shredded beef, shredded chicken, casabe, and patacones. Ana and her team will be making the empandas, yuta frita, and ensalada rusa. I'll be making the arroz connpollo, arepa, and ajiaco. And that leaves you in charge of dessert. Have you finished planning those?"

"Yup. Isabela will be making the cholado and fruit coctails. I'll make the cocadas blancas the day before. I'll start the dulce de brevas the day before. Mariano's mom will also be making the arroz con leche. As for the cake, they finally came to a decision. We'll have different types of cake. For the first cake, it'll be black cake with cherries on it. This cake will be decorated with white frosting and will have the wedding decor on it. Mirabel will also be helping with this. The second one is a vanilla cake with fruits in between the layers. Both of them will be big. The final one will be a coconut cake. No necessary decorations for that one."

"Looks like we have our work cut out for us. I'm just glad we were able to finally decide who would be making what. You'll be using Silva's kitchen for the desserts, right?"

"Yup. She said she would close the bakery for the two days before the wedding so we could start some preparations. She also said she'd be able to help me."

"She's already in charge of the drinks, right?"

"Yup, really glad we don't have to worry about that on top of everything already."

"Camilo!" I said, probably a little too excitedly as he entered my room. With preparing for the wedding, he'd been busier than normal with constant family meetings to decide how things would be.

"Hah, missed me?"

"Obviously. I haven't seen you since the day before yesterday. Do you know how lonely I was?"

"Don't mean to break your heart darling, but I only came to stop for a bit before going back."

"What! Why?"

"Daniela and Mirabel had accidentally messed up something on Dolores's wedding dress. They said it was something they couldn't easily fix, so they asked for my help to make things go faster."

"Fine. I suppose you can go."

"Why don't you hang out with some other friends if you're so lonely?"

"Because I'm completely loyal to you and would never cheat."

"Good to know. Now, what do you want to do while I'm here?"

"No idea."

"So you've just been missing me, but haven't planned anything?"

"Can I not think of you for the sake of thinking of you?"

His eyes widened in suprise as he left out a little laugh.

"You're obsessed, Y/n."

Dam right I am.

"Papa was showing me some songs that Mariano and Dolores have chosen for the wedding," Camilo said, randomly changing the direction of the conversation, "and there are so many slow dance songs on there. While it's definitely mixed with more upbeat songs in the list as well, there are so many slow dances."

"Checks out. This is Mariano we're talking about."

"Hah. You know, he already had a suit he had been working on for the occasion of his wedding before he even got engaged to Dolores."

"Sounds about right. Wait," please don't tell me, "does that mean I have to slow dance?"

"Yup. I mean unless you want to stand on the sides, but that's boring."

"Camilo, I can't slow dance."

"Why not, you can dance normally when we have parties. How is slow dancing different?"

"There's a way to slow dance, and it is specific. I don't know how to slow dance."

"Hmm, I guess that makes sense. I just know because my parents slow dance at parties a lot. Guess I just think of it as the same. We have time though, so I can help teach you."

"Yes, please. So when should we do it?"

"I think after dinner would be good. I could change my room so that it's best suited to dance in."

"Sounds like a plan."

"And now I have to go."

"No, you don't."

"I actually do."

"Nope."

"Yup."

"Nuh uh"

"Yeah ah"

"Don't leave me!"

"I must!" And with that he dramatically opened the door and twirled out closing it behind him.

Now I go back to doing nothing but listening to music.

"Three nights at the motel, under streetlights, in the city of palms..." I mumbled, flopping onto my bed.

"So what happened again?" Isabela asked as she watched Mirabel measure Dolores.

"Well, we had some of the fabrics made beforehand and they were stored at my house with my other fabrics. And I ended up using two different white colored ones instead of the same white fabric so there was a clear distinction between the fabrics. We had them attached together and couldn't cut it in a way that would keep the shape of the dress." Daniela answered.

"But it'll be finished in time, right?"

"Yup. We guarantee it."

Isabela just nodded. She had been appointed to be in charge of making sure that everything was happening according to schedule and finding out that an almost finished dress had to be redone in two weeks was definitely putting stress on her.

"We hired Camilo as well! So we'll be able to work faster. We've got this. It's not like we're starting from scratch we salvaged a bunch of fabrics we had worked on." Mirabel said as she finished measuring Dolores and had began pushing them out of the room, "Don't worry!"

She let out a breath as she closed the door.

"Dress two it is!" She said flipping her notebook to find the page.

"Dress two?" I asked

"Yup. Dolores liked two dresses equally. She had Isabela choose between the two and Isa chose dress one. So, that's ruined, and I don't feel like recreating it, especially because the bottom is ruined and so are the sleeves. Best part of dress two- no sleeves!"

"Strapped sleeves." Daniela corrected.

"Have you slept?"

"Nope. I was working on the fabric for it!"

"I got coffee." Tio Bruno said walking in the room.

"Yes! Coffee!" Mirabel practically jumped over to him to get it.

"Oh, hi Camilo! You're helping as well?"

"Yup. By the looks of it, she needs it."

"I do."

"Well, I'll leave you to it." And with that he left.

Mirabel handed Daniela her cup and we all looked over the dress.

"Camilo, you'll be working on the top. Just use the white fabric over there for it. Me and Daniela will work on the skirt."

"Got it. I assume this gold bit will be added later?"

"Yup."

"Got it." Hopefully this doesn't take too long, I would much rather just hang with Y/n.
