𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝐈 was sat on the counter as I popped another raspberry into my mouth."Morning, Gibsons." Wren smiled as she walked in with her brother.
"Hi, guys." My mum smiled as Bax came over to me and popped a raspberry into his mouth. I scoffed in disbelief, slapping his hand away when he tried to take another one.
"There's no more smoothie left," Honey smirked once she noticed Wren's actions.
"Yes, there is." Ari cut her off.
I sent my little sister a warning glare before turning back to Wren, "Your ankle's still crook?"
"It's getting there. Yeah. I'm just trying to rest it as much as possible before the comp." She smiled at me.
I nodded in agreement, turning back to the pink-haired boy beside me, "Bax!" I yelled once he took another raspberry.
"A bit much, Ma! You agreed to the party!" Summer yelled as she followed Margot into the kitchen.
"I agreed to a team bonding session. You hosted backyard gymnastics and maimed your captain." The woman snapped.
The blonde cut her off, "I'll live."
"Coffee?" Abby handed Margot the cup.
"You're amazing." She breathed out, "And thanks to her exploding barbecue trick, we have been blacklisted by the booking site."
"Smoothie?" Honey handed the drink to Summer.
"She's dragging me back to the States, Honey." The Torres told her.
"What?" My sister gasped, "This is outrageous."
"Really? You're welcome to stay. Let me clear out the junk room for you." My mum suggested.
"For a month? Thanks, but no." Margot rolled her eyes, "Sorry, I've gotta send some work emails."
Summer rolled her eyes as her mum left the room, "Why are you leaving? You agreed we could stay until Nationals."
"Mum, Summer is my mentor. You have to do something." Honey begged.
I chuckled, "Let Margot have her coffee. Then we've got a chance." I caught Bax sneakily taking another raspberry, "Baxter!"
A car horn beeped from outside, "That's Elo. We should really go."
"Bye, Mum." I smiled, pressing a kiss to her cheek before leaving with the Radics.
𝐁𝐀𝐗 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈 were stood together at the beach as we stared out at the water. I rolled my eyes at his words, "Yeah, but at this break, the third wave of the set's usually the biggest. But if it's too big, it closes out. Right? So the wave after is the go."
He frowned, "So you gotta wait for the right wave."
I nodded, "Exactly."
"Cause you would never just take the first good-looking wave that comes along." He challenged.
"But then if you wait, you get a better wave meaning higher points," I smirked.
"Well sometimes you can wait too long for the perfect wave and it never comes." He smirked, leaning closer to me.
His hands came to rest around my waist, "But what if it eventually does come, just not when you were expecting?" I continued.
"Too late. Heat's over, everyone's gone home." He shrugged.
"I think I got a couple minutes left on the clock," I smirked before moving away from him.
I didn't manage to get far before he pulled me back into his body. I wrapped my arms and his torso as we continued to stare out at the ocean, swaying.
