THE STARK white walls of the interrogation room seemed to close in on Ito.

The late August air was thick and humid thanks to the station's broken AC. It turned the space into a stifling jack-in-the-box that Rān wanted nothing more than to jump out of.

She always ran warm, and now, under Tsukauchi's firm stare, she felt like she was sweating both figuratively and literally. Luckily for him, it seemed she sobered up some on the ride over.

Now, the blank faced girl sat in the rigid chair, more numb than enraged.

Ito slouched back in her seat, elbows propped up on the back. She easily exuded a casual defiance while glaring at the detective, eyes half lidded.

Tsukauchi sat across the table from her, fingers interlaced, expression unreadable. "Do you know why you're here?" he asked steadily.

Ito rolled her eyes, knowing indeed, but not caring enough to cooperate. Her tone dripped with sarcasm as she talked. "Nope, no idea. Maybe you just wanted some of my charming company."

Tsukauchi's jaw slightly tightened at her obvious disrespect, but he easily kept his cool. "Earlier tonight, we received a call from one," he paused, looking down at his notepad to review the so-called victim's name.

"Katsumi Bakugo."

Ito immediately looked away at his mention of the heathen she's come to loathe.

Instead, she settled for straining her eyes to see her reflection on the double sided mirror, (it had been a long night and she lost her glasses somewhere along the way.) Thus, the stubborn girl continued to contort her lids into slivers as she scowled past Naomasa.

She would have crossed her arms too if she wasn't rudely handcuffed to the side of the table.

"He caught you fleeing his driveway after slashing his motorbike tires and throwing a Molotov cocktail through his bedroom window."

Ito wanted to laugh at the revenge filled memory, but she feigned ignorance with a crude smile playing on her lips. "Katsumi? That douchebag? I didn't do squat. But if someone did, he definitely deserved it."

Tsukauchi sighed, his quirk kicking in. The words coming out of her mouth started to sound slurred and less clear, much like her heated statements were when they picked her up, down the street from Katsumi's mansion.
