The moment Roman's ex-wife stepped into my house, a storm of conflict erupted between them, centered on me and the accusation that he had forsaken his family for my sake. She argued passionately that, for the sake of their children, he should delay the divorce. I have no issue with Roman dedicating time to his kids; after all, a father's duty is to care for his children. Roman felt compelled to be truthful with her, explaining that his departure was not about me, but rather a consequence of her father's pressure to marry and start a family without his consent.

He bowed his head, his voice heavy with regret as he spoke to Galina. The weight of his words hung in the air, thick with unspoken emotions. "I never meant for it to happen this way," he continued, his gaze fixed on the floor, as if searching for the right words among the scattered memories of their life together. "I felt pushed into loving you, marrying you, and starting a family before your father left us. It was as if the world conspired to rush us into a life that neither of us was truly ready for."

He paused, taking a deep breath, the silence between them stretching like a taut string ready to snap. "My feelings for you were never authentic," he admitted, the truth cutting through him like a knife. "I wanted to be the man you needed, the husband you deserved, but I was never able to fully embrace that role. I was caught in a whirlwind of expectations and obligations, and in the chaos, I lost sight of my own heart."

His voice softened as he continued, "The love I have for our children is real, and it fills me with a sense of purpose that I cannot deny. They are the light in my life, the joy that keeps me going. But please understand, it doesn't change what I must do. I can't continue living a lie, pretending that everything is fine when inside, I feel so lost."As he spoke, he felt a mix of relief and sorrow, knowing that the path ahead would be fraught with challenges, but also with the possibility of new beginnings.

Galina's tears spilled over, glistening in her eyes like raindrops on a windowpane. With a voice laced with fury, she advanced toward me, declaring, "And you, you homewrecker! This isn't over!" With that, she slammed the front door behind her and stormed off. When I turned to Roman, he looked as if he needed solace, so I wrapped my arms around him. It struck me as strange that he was so distressed about the divorce, especially since he claimed not to care for her. I offered him comfort, assuring him that we would find a way through this. "I just don't know how to explain to the kids that they're getting a little sister and that mommy and I are splitting up," he wept, clutching me tightly.

After checking in on Roman, I made my way to the mall to pick up some essentials for our soon-to-arrive daughter. The excitement of preparing for her arrival filled me with a mix of joy and nervous anticipation. As I wandered through the aisles, I carefully selected items that would not only be practical but also meaningful—tiny clothes, soft blankets, and little toys that would soon fill our home with warmth and laughter. Each item I picked felt like a step closer to welcoming her into our lives.

However, amidst the flurry of shopping, my mind was still preoccupied with the name we were choosing for her. It was a decision that weighed heavily on both of us, as we wanted it to hold a special significance, something that would resonate with our family's story. We had tossed around various options, each one sparking a different emotion, but we hadn't settled on one yet. The pressure of finding the perfect name loomed over us, but I knew we would figure it out together.

As I stood in line to pay, I absentmindedly scrolled through Twitter, hoping to distract myself from the mounting pressure. That's when I stumbled upon a TMZ headline that caught my eye—Galina was spilling the beans about Roman and me. My heart sank as I read the words, her voice echoing through the screen. She was going off on a live Instagram session, claiming that Roman would eventually return to her and their kids. The audacity of her statements sent a wave of anger surging through me, igniting a fierce determination to prove her wrong.

Galina seemed to be itching for a fight, convinced that she could win back Roman's heart. It was as if she believed that her past with him could overshadow the present we were building together. But she couldn't be more mistaken. I felt a surge of protectiveness for our relationship, for the life we were creating. Roman and I had forged a bond that was strong and unwavering, and I was resolute in my belief that he was not going anywhere. I was right here with him, and I intended to stay. As I left the mall, bags in hand and a fire in my heart, I knew I had to confront this situation head-on. I wouldn't let Galina's words shake my confidence or disrupt the happiness we were cultivating. I was ready to stand my ground, to defend our love and the family we were about to become. The thought of our daughter, the life we were building, and the love we shared fueled.
