Chapter Seventy Six
Eve Begins pt.2


Year-2004
"SO WHAT'D you wanna talk about?" Evan asked his older sister as she came to a stop outside a random house.
"Heard you got grounded again," Maddie stated looking at the boy in the front seat, "what'd you do?"
"He tried out for the football team," Everlyn stated, not sharing the full story.
Maddie looked from Everlyn who was sitting in the middle seat in the back to Evan and raised a question eyebrows, "and that for you grounded?"
"Well, someone had to sign the permission slip," Evan told his sister.
"I'm guessing it wasn't with of our parents," Maddie said, putting the pieces together.
"Figured they'd just say no," Evan admitted, "you know how they are. They suck."
"Where are we?" Everlyn asked not noticing the neighborhood they were in.
"We used to live here," Maddie told the twins.
"Really?" Evan muttered looking out the window to the big yellow house covered by bushes. "I thought we always lived in Hershey."
"Guess you two wouldn't remember," Maddie spoke, going through the memories of the house, "you were really little then."
The twins shared the same confused look before Evan asked, "why'd we move?"
Maddie's face fell as she looked between the two teens, "okay, I need to tell you guys something," she admitted , "and it's gonna sound crazy, but I need you to listen."
Before Maddie continued her phone went off and Evan reached for it, reading the name on the screen.
"Is that him again?" Eve asked her eyebrows raised in shock since he'd already called. 
"Hold on," Maddie muttered before answering the phone, "hey, babe. Yeah. I'm with Evan and Everlyn. No, not yet. Of course I'll be home for dinner. Okay, love you too."
"Why does he have to know where you are and what you're doing?" Evan asked once Maddie closed her phone, ending the call.
"It's sweet," Maddie stated with a smile.
"Little controlling," Eve muttered.
Maddie glared at her sister before speaking again, "he cares about me."
"I don't like him," Evan informed the older woman, "so  you were gonna tell me something crazy?"
Maddie paused for a moment causing the twins to look at her, waiting for an answer, "Doug got accepted to medical school. In Boston. He asked me to go with him, and I said yes." The twins looked at each other neither liking the idea that their sister was leaving especially with Doug, "I applied to some nursing schools. I'm gonna go nights so I can work during the day, pay for it myself. That way, I don't need to ask mom and dad for anything ever again."
