Chapter #25: Wallace Cup Prelude to Final: Dawn and Piplup vs Tapu Fini!

                                    

                                          

At night at Professor Kukui House, all their pokemon are eating their food while others listen to their conversation. Ash, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie explained to Dawn, May, and Dawn how Ash and Greninja found themselves a bonding phenomenon.

Dawn: "I see. That's why Froakie found you a worthy trainer for Froakie at the park."

Ash: "That's right! Froakie wanted to join my team, and I accepted it."

Max: "I can't believe you, Ash. You and Greninja can create a Mega Evolution that no one has seen before without a Mega Stone."

Ash: "You got that right, Max."

Bonnie: "Yes, Max, as I had predicted, Ash will prevail."

All Pokemon are starting to listen to their conversation. Greninja is going outside the house. When Blaziken, Lycanroc, Snivy, and Torracat saw Greninja going outside, they also followed Greninja. Poipole, Buneary, Sylveon, and Glaceon show affection toward Pikachu and seem to enjoy it, which is kind of embarrassing.

Dawn: "I am going to go outside and check out the beach and fresh air. Piplup, come on."

Dawn's Piplup: "[Piplup!]"

Professor Kukui: "Okay Dawn."

Ash: "I better go outside with her also."

Serena: "Same too."

Dawn, Ash, and Serena go outside the Professor Kukui House to see the beach during the night.

May: "I better go outside too."

Professor Burnet: "May I need you to help me first before you go outside?"

May: "Alright, Professor Burnet."

May start helping Professor Burnet.

Max: "Clemont, what are you doing?"

Clemont: "I am inventing something."

Max "I see, and what kind of invention?"

Bonnie: "Clemont inventions usually explode when they are overloaded."

Clemont: "That's why I checked it and fixed it."

Meanwhile, outside of Professor Kukui, out at the beach, Greninja sparring with Blaziken while Torracat, Snivy, and Lycanroc watched them.

Ash and Serena approach Dawn while looking at the sea.

Ash: "Dawn, is there any problem with you?"

Dawn: "Yeah, Ash, you've gotten stronger than before. You can own Mega Evolution, which I have never seen before. You have a girlfriend, too. And what about me, Ash?"

Ash: "What do you mean?"

Dawn: "After you and Brock leave the Sinnoh back to your Kanto, I'm kind of lonely, and I don't know what to do. When Cynthia invited me to go to her place in Unova, I saw you, and I just journeyed with you a little bit longer before the Wallace Cup happened in Johto. I have to leave you again for the Wallace Cup after losing the second round. I kind of struggled to win the coordinator contest. When Wallace Cup is about to happen in Alola Region, which new region? I have to join them. And finally, I reunited you again, but you have friends and your girlfriend already. And I managed to reach Semis but lost to that girl."

Serena: "Dawn, I am sorry."

Ash: "I know how you feel, Dawn. Just let it go."

Dawn: "Ash, you became my brother to me, you supported me no matter what, and you gave me inspiration to fight and win the Coordinator Contest. That's why I will never let you go again, Ash."

Serena: "Dawn, we both had the same thing happen. During our fight with our Counter Shield tactics, I remember what Ash said back in Kalos, where we traveled together alongside Bonnie and Clemont. He said, 'Don't stop until it's over! '. That's why I won the semis against you. You and I do the same thing for Ash."

Dawn: "Yeah right. That is why I am going to fight you for Ash, Serena. I won't let you have him."

Serena: "Well, you're just going to like that. Why not? Let's do..."

Their conversation stopped when Tapu Fini arrived. Greninja, Blaziken, Lycanroc, Snivy, and Torracat look at Tapu Fini. 

Ash: "Tapu Fini?"

Dawn: "Is that Tapu Fini, the island guardian on Poni Island?"

Serena: "That's right, Dawn."

When Professor Kukui saw Tapu Fini, he shouted it. Clemont, Max, Bonnie, May, Professor Burnet, and their pokemon go outside to see Tapu Fini.

May: "Professor Kukui, who is that Pokemon?"

Professor Burnet: "Tapu Fini is the island guardian of Poni Island."

May and Max: "Say what!"

Bonnie: "Professor Burnet is right! May and Max, that Tapu Fini."

Ash: "What are you doing here anyway, Tapu Fini?"

Tapu Fini: "[Fini Tapu Tapu.]"

Serena: "I think Tapu Fini wants to fight you, Dawn. Isn't that right, Tapu?"

Tapu Fini: "[Fini.]"

Dawn: "Do you want to fight me with my Piplup only?"

Dawn's Piplup: "[Lup Lup!]"

Tapu Fini: "[Tapu Tapu.]"

Ash: "Dawn, this is your chance to get your own Z-ring."

Dawn: "Alright, Tapu Fini! I accepted your challenge."

Dawn's Piplup: "[Piplup lup!]"

Tapu Fini: "[Tapu Fini.]"

Serena: "Go, Dawn, you can do it."

Max: "Professor Kukui, what are they doing? Dawn is going to battle against Tapu Fini?"

Professor Kukui: "That's right, it's a test to see if you're worthy enough to get your own Z Ring, just like happened to Ash, Serena, and Clemont after they fought Island Guardians and got Z Rings and Z-moves for Ash and Serena."

May: "I see! I want to fight the Island Guardian too. Go, Dawn! You can do it."

Dawn and her piplup versus Tapu Fini battle have begun! Tapu Pini activated the Misty Surge Ability to create pink energy and cover the surrounding area with it.

May: "What was that?"

Professor Kukui: "Misty Surge Ability?"

Max: "Misty Surge?"

Professor Kukui: "Yeah, it is an ability that automatically creates the Misty Terrian."

May: "Doesn't mean..."

Clemont: "Yeah, it increases the firepower on Fairy type move."

Tapu Fini raises its arms, summoning dark rain clouds then pours from the dark cloud.

Dawn: "A Rain Dance?"

May: "Tapu Fini also learned the Rain Dance."

Professor Kukui: "That's right, and increase fire power on the Water Type move."

Bonnie: "We are going to enjoy this."

Dawn: "Piplup, use Bubble Beam!"

Piplup opens its beak and releases a stream of blue bubbles at the Tapu Fini but. Tapu Fini releases a powerful stream of water from its hands at the to block Bubble Beam. Bubble Beam and Hydro Pump bumped into each other, and explosions occurred.

Ash: "Dawn, be careful on Tapu Fini!"

Dawn: "I will, Ash. Piplup, use Whirlpool."

Piplup's body glows a blueish-white color and it raises its arms and beak to the air. Tapu Fini also gathers energy from the moon. Piplup opens its beak and a huge whirlpool comes out of it and forms above Piplup. Tapu Fini forms an orb of pink energy in front of its hands and fires it at the Pilip Piplup then throws the whirlpool at the Tapu Fini. Whirlpool and Moonblast collide, and explosions occur, but.

Dawn: "Piplup, use Drill Peck!"

Piplup's beak glows white and it spins like a drill as it jumps at the Tapu Fini, hitting it with its beak and Tapu Fini got hit by Drill Peck!

Serena: "Dawn, use her move just like she fought against me."

May: "Nice on Dawn."

Tapu Fini gathers energy from the moon. It then forms an orb of pink energy in front of its hands and fires it at the Pilup.

Dawn: "Piplup dodges it by jumping high!"

Piplup dodged the moonblast via jump, and Piplup jumped high on Tapu Fini.Dawn: "

Piplup, use Bubble Beam!"

Piplup uses Bubble Beam to send out one large bubble towards the Tapu Fini instead of releasing a stream of bubbles. Tapu Fini has been hit by a large bubble via a bubble beam.

Dawn: "We're not done yet. Piplup, Ice Beam is on the ground!"

Piplup opens its beak and forms a light blue ball inside it and fires multiple light blue beams from the ball at the ground and freeze all over the battlefield. Piplup landed on his feet and started sliding charge toward Tapu Fini.

Dawn: "Piplup, use Drill Peck!"

Piplup's beak glows white and it spins like a drill as it sliding and jump at the Tapu Fini but Tapu Fini covered its shell a slams on the ground, unleashing a shock wave of pink energy from the place it hit, with wisps of blue aura appearing above the ground and destroying all Icefield, pushing the target back. When the Piplup been hit by attack to the ground, pink bolts appear around it, and energy erupts from the ground underneath it. Piplup trapped on Nature Madness. 

Dawn: "Piplup no!"

Tapu Fini gathers energy from the moon. It then forms an orb of pink energy in front of its hands and fires it at the trapped Piplup. Piplup took heavy damage and fled. Dawn caught the piplup from falling from the sky. The battle is over, and Rain Dance and Misty Terrain have disappeared.

Dawn: "I guess I lost."

Ash: "Dawn, at least you tried."

Serena: "Yeah Dawn."

Dawn: "Thank guys."

Tapu Fini uses her power to heal Piplup from being badly injured and cure him. Piplup is happy to be healed.

Dawn: "Thanks, Tapu Fini, for having such a battle."

Dawn's Piplup: "[Lup Lup!]"

Tapu Fini uses her power, and a purple-blue Z ring appears from the sky, giving it to Dawn.

Dawn: "Is that for me?"

Tapu Fini: "[Tapu Fini.]"

Dawn: "Thank you, Tapu Fini, and you're the best!"

Dawn's Piplup: "[PipLup!]"

Tapu Fini: "[Tapu Fini.]"

Tapu Fini started fleeing back to Poni Island. Ash, Dawn, Serena, and other Pokemon farewell on Tapu Fini.

Ash: "Well, Dawn, you have the Z-ring."

Dawn: "Yeah, and I can finally get Z crystal from the Island Challenge and Grand Trial."

Serena: "Yes, you can do it, but Ash and I ash have a total of five Z crystals from Melemele Island to Akala Island."

Dawn: "That's why I'm going to start here in Melemele Island and then follow you guys to Ula'Ula Island."

Ash: "Alright, we will waiting for you to defeat the Island Challenge in Melemele Island before we head to Ula'Ula island."

Dawn: "I will, Ash."

May and Max arrived and approached Ash, Dawn, and Serena.May: "Dawn, are you alright?"

Dawn: "I feel much better because I got the Z-ring from Tapu Fini."

May: "It is not fair! I want to get that too."

Ash: "But May, there is another island guardian on Ula'Ula Island."

May: "Really Ash! I'm going to fight that island guardian on Ula'Ula Island and get the Z-Ring if I am worthy enough."

Max: "I better follow you just in case you get lost on that island, and I want to see what the Island Challenge and Grand Trial look like."

May: "And you better follow Bonnie, because that is your future girlfriend, and she might lose because of you."

Max: "She's not my girlfriend, May."

Clemont: "I agree with May, Bonnie!"

Bonnie: "Not a million years, Clemont!"

Ash, Serena, Dawn, Professor Kukui, May, Clemont, Professor Burnet, and their pokemons started laughing at Max and Bonnie. Dawn is happy to have the Z ring that was given to her by Tapu Fini, and Dawn is determined to fight for Ash's love and try to find the to find the gather Z-crystal that is available for her pokemon's moves. Ash and Serena are ready for each other to fight in the final of the Wallace Cup.
