Upon our return from paradise, I suddenly became anxious about telling the boys the news. They were unconditionally supportive but also brutally honest when it came to looking out for me. I knew I had made the right choice and the past twenty four hours had been nothing but pure euphoria.

Reg and I walked over the bridge back into Hogwarts grounds, I was unable to stop looking at the dazzling ring on my finger. I made a mental note to thank Mary for doing my nails.
"Come to the common room." I told Reg, "we have to tell our brothers."

Reg sighed and nodded. "What do you think Sirius will say?"

I paused for a moment. "I don't know. I think he'll be happy. I really can't be bothered with any comments from Pete."

"Fuck Peter." He replied bluntly and I laughed a little.

"No wormy's great but..." I fell silent, struggling to find a defence for him. He was great. Two years ago. Recently, he'd been a whiny, annoying little rat.

"But he's a cunt?" Reg offered. "A short, podgy, whiny little cunt."

"Reg don't talk about my friend like that." I shook my head, however much he had got on my nerves this year I didn't want to talk about him behind his back.

He rolled his eyes playfully and put his arm around me. "Whatever you say, I'll come to the common room."

.・✫・゜・。..・✫・゜・。.

The hour was late and the common room was empty except for Remus who was sat on a red plush sofa reading, next to him was a half munched bar of chocolate. "Moony." I smiled and gave him a hug. "Where are the others?"

He put down his book and put a friendly arm around me "In the dorm planning Quidditch tactics, it's not a conversation for his ears." Remus smirked over at Reg.

"That explains why you're here then." I chuckled. "Can we go up?"

"Uh sure." Remus nodded "I'll go up and knock first, Reg or not, James will be fuming if a Slytherin overhears his plans." He said and jogged up the stone steps to the dorms.

Reg was looking around anxiously. "I shouldn't be here." He did not have his robe on to cover his face like usual, the common room was forbidden territory to Slytherins, especially the Slytherin prince.

"No one will see you." I gave him a reassuring smile and put my hand on his arm.

"Come up!" Remus called from the top of the stairs.

We walked up the steps and I knocked on the girls dorm calling them over. When everyone was assembled, myself sat on the end of my brother's bed, I cleared my throat. "I don't know how you're all going to react to this but-"

"Don't tell me you're pregnant." Sirius gasped. "I am not ready to be an Uncle!"

"What y/n you're pregnant?!" Mary smiled brightly. "Oh how exciting I'm going to buy your baby the cutest little clothes, ah your children will be so cute too. Ah little blue eyed babies!"

"What? No I'm not pregnant!" I shook my head quickly. "Not pregnant. No babies. What I was actually going to say was I'm marrying Reg."

Silence fell on the room as everyone processed until Lily broke it by squealing excitedly and clapping her hands. "That's brilliant news! Congratulations!" This was followed by eager support from Marlene and Mary.

The boys didn't look so sure except for James who gave me a supportive smile.
"Are you taking his last name?" Sirius asked quietly.

"No." We both replied in unison and then laughed a little.
