TEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHE

Cassidy swallowed back the lump forming in her throat. Taylor couldn't even look in her general direction anymore and she had no idea why. She felt terrible.

What had she done?

Cassidy retraced her steps of the whole night and still she couldn't figure out what happened. All she'd done was try to get Noah and Jamie to talk.

In fact she'd barely even seen the singer.

The more she thought about the blonde, the sicker she felt. She knew they had to talk out whatever it was that was bothering her but Taylor gave her no opportunity to.

The singer just ignored her.

With a small huff Cassidy excused herself from everyone else, walking into the house. She felt far too drunk for this shit so she downed two glasses of water.

Her hands rested on the ledge of the kitchen bench, her head bowing down. That familiar feeling returned, barely being able to breathe.

She tensed a little when she felt a hand rest on her back.

"Cass?"

The brunette looked up, meeting a pair of very soft eyes looking into hers. She stood up straight, planting a small smile on her lips. It didn't quite reach her eyes though.

"Hey Blake, are you okay?," Cassidy asked.

"I was going to ask you the same thing," the actress sighed, "What happened out there?"

Cassidy's weak attempt at a smile disappeared, her lips turning downwards at the ends. She shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't even know, Blake. I— she was not speaking to me so I asked her what was wrong and she lost her shit," Cassidy explained, trying to keep her voice from wobbling. "I don't know what I did."

Blake didn't say anything and just pulled the brunette in for a hug, patting her back in a comforting way. She knew Taylor sometimes snapped instead of communicating.

But she always comes around.

"I'm just scared to—," Cassidy trailed off.

"To?"

Cassidy took a deep breath looking for the right words. The brunette lent back on the bench behind her, folding her arms over each other.

"She means a lot to me. I don't know what I'd do without her and I hate that she's mad and she won't tell me why," Cassidy sighed, "I'm scared to lose her."

Blake pouted, placing a hand on Cassidy's shoulder.

"You won't lose her, Cass. This is nothing. Sometimes Taylor has a hard time communicating but I promise she always comes around," Blake assured her, "I know how much you both mean to each other. We can all see it."

Cassidy nodded and accepted the hand Blake held out for her, dragging her back outside to sit with everyone else.

She did feel a little better talking it out but she still couldn't fight off the pit in her stomach.

Noah and Jamie had joined everyone else now, huge smiles on both of their faces.

"So what's been happening with you two," Gigi smirked, poking her elbow into Jamie's side. "Why are you both so smiley?"

The man chuckled, "Noah over here just caught me up on a certain brunette's sneaky little plan."

Everyone looked at him with confusion written all over their faces and then looking over at Cassidy who hid behind her hands.

Except Taylor, her eyes remained fixed on her wine glass.
