A little more info about Ryuko's life:
Ryuko is an only child or the unica hija of the Kim/Min family. She was born and raised in Busan, South Korea. Kim Eomma and Min Appa tried to make their relationship work but they realize that it's just not it. Despite not being married, they did their best to give her all the love and affection that they have. Her father named her after a Japanese fictional character and the protagonist of Capcom's Street Fighter, Ryu. Kim Eomma granted Min Appa the privilege to name Ryuko as long as her last name is Kim, of course Min Appa didn't just give in without a fight but we know how it ends. Kim Eomma lived in a house in Busan with Kim Imo. Ryuko started acting when she was 9 and started modeling when she was 16. She is now living in an apartment in Seoul to be more independent though her parents and Kim Imo always try to hang around in her house. At first she finds it annoying but soon appreciate it as she realize that their presence is her everything.
