A bunch of tanks came moving towards the ground, crushing rocks and tiny debris on its way. The sounds of soldiers marching can be heard along with a group of vampire hunters. All of them hailing from different countries.

A month ago, countries who are able to survive the conquest of the vampires on earth have sent messages. It took quite a while for them to send messages due to the fact communication outside countries have been cut off by vampires. But thankfully the governments of the surviving countries have fixed the problem.

"Our government here in Germany has currently fixed the communication and our men have settled in the liberated parts of Japan by the Kage no Shinpan. For now he does not seem to have any intention of attacking us and is willing to cooperate with us if we ask for his aid. We do not quite trust him however for this may be a trap. The vampires had been causing mass damage to our country for two months now but we are managing to hold them off. However we have suffered multiple casualties now. I hope you stay safe, we will be expecting to meet up with you vampire hunters from Japan, we will arrive with our military and the vampire hunters dispatched by the Church in our country." Kasumi read aloud, she placed the letter down on the table, heaving a sigh as she glanced at the ceiling. Deep in thought, but not before she heard footsteps entering the room.

She bit a sandwich, her fangs pressed into it as she stuffed it whole. "Yeah, already notified Adapost about that." Her tone was muffled by the sandwich on her mouth, she had a habit of shoving whole food into her mouth like it was nothing. Kasumi's eyes widened as she saw Chisami, her jaw dropping in confusion as she shook her head in mild annoyance. "How on earth did you get in my room in the headquarters?"

She chuckled and shrugged, "Eh, flew out my room window then flew onto yours," she said, her tone playful and blunt as she casually sat on Kasumi's bed. The shrine maiden just returned a friendly smile. Over the time that passed, they grew to be friends eventually.

Kasumi knew how lonely Chisami must've felt... Being abused by her father and killing her mother in front of her when she was a defenseless child. That was truly undeserving for a child... Everyone deserves a happy childhood. But her father, Olrox had to ruin it.

"Hey, Chisami?"

The dhampir girl glanced at her, with a soft grin. She teases Kasumi sometimes in a playful tone but she knew that she can let her playful side out around her friend. "Yeah?"

"Just know that you can talk to me about anything, 'k?"

"Hehe, of course."

She walked over to Kasumi and punched the shrine maiden playfully onto the shoulder. She flinched in a mix of slight pain and playfulness. Despite it being a soft playful punch, her natural vampiric side's strength amplified it sort of.

Chisami looked at her in worry, and looked away in embarassment. "O-Oh... I'm... Sorry about that." she said nervously, rubbing the back of her hair. Kasumi just smiled gently.

The two girls just laughed heartily at the moment. After the laughter died down, Chisami sat back down on Chisami's bed. The shrine maiden just continued to sit on the chair in front of her desk, heaving a soft sigh. There was a bit of silence, before Chisami decided to break it for a bit.

"Hey, Kasumi? Can I ask you a question?"

She perked up, then looked at Chisami, Stroking her own light brown hair. "Sure, anything." she said in a cheerful demeanor.

"So uhh... About Modoru... I was wondering. Why did he teleport only you out but left me, Yamaju and Oliver to escape ourselves after he revealed he was Dracula in the castle?"

Kasumi's soft smile turned to a frown as she looked down sadly, her eyebrows lowering. "It's... I don't know. I think he... Well, you see I was his first ever friend back at school since the time he was thirteen years old years old, the same ae as me. He met me at grade seven when I was partnered with him, he was usually quiet and didn't like interacting with others..."
