Pippa POV

No one ever tells you how hard it is to lie, to hide something so important from someone especially when that someone is the one person you swore you would never lie to. Well it is hard, but it's also kind of too easy because my mom is way too fucking gullible.

It's been almost a month since I found out that Lizzie and Stefania are expecting twins, and also almost a month since I found out that they are engaged. It took so much out of me to keep it from my mom, but it was also kind of easy...

..Mainly because she doesn't care for social media, or read any form of celebrity magazine so she has no idea from my knowledge over the engagement.

But my dad?

Oh he absolutely knew, he uses social media mostly to stay in touch with Stefania since she rarely ever comes home and because he doesn't travel for work so he cannot use that as an excuse to see her.

Not that my mom would stop him, but she'd tag along and honestly I know he does like spending time with just Stefania. She may not be his biological daughter, and she may not consider him as a dad but they both still love one another.

I only knew that he knew based off a look he gave me a few days after I came home. He hadn't seen the post right away due to Instagram's home page being stupid. But then he saw it pop up, with Lizzie's right underneath as "someone you may know".

I gave him a look back of "mom cannot know until Stefania says otherwise", and he nodded in understanding. I smiled weakly as mom was very curious on what was going on. That was a few weeks ago and it's been interesting.

Dad and I have tried talking about the engagement all the time, but mom always comes home or walks into the room. We have made a lie, one of his good friends' daughter is engaged so we spin it to make it appear that we were talking about her. Mom isn't really fond of dad's friend, she doesn't hate the guy but doesn't like his wife.

I can't even say that I'm surprised that he's kept it so quiet too, because that would be a lie. He knows my mom and knows how she'd react if we slipped, so he knew it was better this way and knew that Stefania and Lizzie will tell her when they are ready.

I had no classes today, so I was casually just laying on the couch when I heard mom walking out of the kitchen, I lifted my head to see her walking with her purse on her shoulder. I watched curiously as she slipped on her shoes before she looked at me as she said, "I have some errands to run, I will be gone for a little while. If you need anything whilst I am gone just send me a text".
