"Do we have everything?" I asked my husband as we got into the car to head to the airport. We leave for Paris today and I am excited but traveling is always a bit stressful.
Well, Matteo is good at taking care of everything but now that we are doing our first trip with the twins, it's making sure we are fully prepared that is difficult.
Matteo grabs my hand, "Melodia," he starts and I look over at him, "We have everything we need, the twins will be perfectly fine. If there is anything extra we need, we can buy it there, but we will be okay, sì?" he finishes, leaning over to kiss me.
I nod, smiling. He just always makes everything better.
I connect my phone to the car and start playing Matteo and I's favorite playlist. I honestly listened to these songs so much while I was pregnant, I was always playing music, I was always listening to something.
Once Lana Del Rey starts playing, Enzo starts clapping and Leo screams, but in an excited way. Raising my babies with good taste.
Arriving at the airport, we take the twins out of the car, they are still very energetic. It is only a three hour flight so I think they will be okay.
Getting on the plane, I sit on the couch as Matteo brings in the twins walkers. We got them without wheels because wheeled walkers are known to be hazards, they can randomly roll anywhere and it's not very safe.
We put them in their walkers and they start doing little bounces. They're going to be able to stand on their own soon which is absolutely insane.

one year later

"Mamma," Enzo babbles as I fix his hair, "capelli, mamma," he says, raising his hand and pointing to his hair with a little finger. (Mom, hair, mom)
"Sì, angioletto, ti sto sistemando i capelli," I tell him, smiling at him and kissing his cheek. He giggles. (Yes, little angel, I am fixing your hair)
I get him off the bathroom counter and he runs back into the room right before Matteo comes in with Leo.
He dresses them every morning and fixes their cribs while I brush their little teeth and do their hair.
I kiss Matteo then take my baby and sit him on the counter. We start off with brushing his teeth. They are still not done teething but they do have their little collection. Leo is usually pretty fussy when I am doing his hair but he is doing okay today.
I don't put much product in their hair except for some curling cream and mousse since they both have curly hair. Leo's is more on the wavy side but Enzo's is a tiny bit curlier. They're my little curly headed babies.
"Hai finito, bello," I say to Leo as I finish his hair. I grab him and pick him up off the counter, putting him on the floor. (You're all done, handsome)
Both of them are very clingy babies and I love it but now that I am pregnant again it is getting harder and harder to carry them.
I am 26 weeks right now with another boy and this pregnancy has been honestly a lot easier than my first one. But that was given since the last one was twins.
Instead of Leo walking away, he hugs my legs, "Grazie, mamma," he says sweetly, not leaving my side. He can't pronounce it correctly yet but he sounds adorable and I can under what he says. It sounds like he is saying 'gacie'.
I smile, putting my hand on his head. He puts his arms up for me to carry him and I give in, picking him up as he rests his head on my shoulder, his legs going on either side of my bump.
I walk into the room where Matteo is finishing up cleaning and Enzo is running around with his stuffed dinosaur.
When he sees me, he walks up to me and puts his arms out, wanting me to carry him as well. I want to cry. I can barely carry one of them how am I supposed to carry them both.
Matteo grabs him and carries him the same way I am carrying Leo. "Do not feel bad for not being able to carry them both melodia, take care of your body, I will be here to hold them too," he says, leaning down to kiss my forehead.
I smile and nod before we make our way downstairs for breakfast.
The chef made the twins mini pancakes with scrambled eggs and some fruit. Matteo and I got normal blueberry pancakes with a smoothie and I had to drink my prenatal vitamins.
"What are you doing today?" I ask Matteo as we are about to finish eating.
"I have a meeting with Alvaro and Andrej," he says, then keeps talking about his plans for the day. "Anyways, what about you, melodia?" he asks me.
"Sofia, Allegra, and I are taking all the kids to the park. We are going out for lunch after then going shopping." I tell him. He leaves after we finish eating and I head back upstairs with the twins so I can finish getting ready.
Laura and Allegra adopted a little boy almost a year ago. His name is Niccolò and he is an adorable little toddler. Vittoria is eight years old now and she has grown so much. Angelo is a little over two years old now. Time has flown by so fast.
Luca and Inessa also got married last month. They are traveling the world, in a new country constantly and more in love than ever.
Enzo taps my leg as I am putting on my shoes and both of them point at their wrists, "Brac, mamma, brac," he says cutely, while Leo is simply nodding in agreement. They don't fully know how to say bracelet yet but they are getting there.
"You want your bracelets?" I ask them and they nod together. They're so cute. We got them matching bracelets last year when we took them to Paris and they love wearing them. We do have to go back to Dior every now and then to get them resized since they are constantly growing but they love them so it's worth it. They both have entire jewelry collections but those are the ones they wear the most.
I take them to their room holding their little hands and go into their closet. I take out each of their jewelry boxes and pull out the bracelets. "Veni qui," I tell them and they both walk up to me. I crouch down as much as I can, trying to not squish my bump.
I put the bracelet on Leo then kiss his forehead. He then moves to the side so I can put Enzo's bracelet on. I kiss Enzo on the cheek then stand. Or at least try to but I had to use the little ottoman next to me to push myself up.
"Bella, mamma," Enzo says, looking up at me then grabbing my hand and kissing it. His kisses are so cute because he can't do a very proper kiss it's more like him pressing his lips together and making a little face. (Beautiful, mom)
I smile at him. "Voi due siete i miei graziosi angioletti," I say, leaning down to kiss both of them on the head. I grab their hands and lead them back to my room so I can finish getting ready. (You two are my pretty little angels)
"Amo mamma," Leo says as we are walking down the hallway. I smile widely. I love my little babies.
"Grazie mille, amore. Anch'io ti amo." I say as we enter the room. I let them roam around in the room while I changed into a dress and fixed my hair.
There's nothing dangerous in the room that they could grab so I am not worried. They can't even reach the gun compartments and even then, a special key card is needed to open them that only Matteo and I have a copy of and mine is in my phone case.
But anyways, as I put my jewelry on, I look behind me using the mirror and see the twins have laid down together on the couch.
I snap a picture and send it to my husband.
