The Bella's house was unusually quiet for a Thursday evening. Majority of the Bella's were out of the house, enjoying themselves as they had the day off of rehearsals. Beca took this time to work on one of her new projects. She was mixing the song when she felt her phone vibrate beside her.
Immediately, her face lit up when she saw Chloe's name displayed on the top. She always had a crush on the girl, but the ginger had an awful boyfriend that everyone hated.
"Hey Chlo!" she said after answering.
There was silence for a few moments, only the sound of soft sobs and heavy breathing could be heard through the speaker, sending Beca into a panic.
"Chloe?" she said anxiously.
"I-I'm at the cafe. Can y-you come get me?" her voice came out broken and her breathing came out heavy as she tried to calm herself down.
"Yeah, I'll be right there. Don't go anywhere." Beca said before the call ended and she sprinted down the stairs, jumping slightly when a voice came from behind her.
"Where are you going in such a rush?" Stacie asked from the kitchen.
"Chloe needs me. Do me a favor, when I get home can you please leave us two alone? Tell the Bella's. It might be serious." Beca rushed out the door before Stacie could respond.
The tall brunette just shrugged before sending a text out to the Bella's saying 'Leave Beca and Chloe alone when you get home. They're finally getting in each other's pants.'
Beca sped to the cafe as fast as she legally could. Even though it was a 5 minute drive, it felt like 5 hours until she finally approached the parking lot. She parked sloppily before turning off her car and spotting the girl sitting at one of the outdoor tables, shoulders slumped and head hurried in her hands. She then rushed over to her.
"Chloe?" Beca said quietly, not wanting to concern the distressed girl.
"Hey." said, looking up with a small sad smile and eyes puffy from crying.
Beca sat down beside her, concern etched on her face. "What happened?"
Chloe took a shaky breath, trying to calm her voice. "Tom. H-he cheated on me a-and dumped me."
Beca didn't need to hear anything more before she pulled her in for a long, emotional hug. Beca knew the pain she was going through. Jesse had done the same thing to her just 4 months earlier. She knew exactly what she should do to make the girl feel better. And to start, she knew she should hold the girl like her life depended on it.
"Chloe, I'm so sorry." she whispered into her ear while stroking her hair.
"I loved him." she sobbed out into her neck while Beca held her close.
The brunettes heart ached, knowing how much emotional pain she was going through. She also knew that they needed to get home.
"I know you did sweetie." she cooed, "Let's get home okay? We can watch one of your stupid trash tv shows if it'll make you feel better."
This made Chloe laugh a little, making a small smile creep onto Beca's face. The two stood up after a few more minutes and got into Beca's car, heading back to the Bella's house.
Once home, the two went up to Beca's room and turned on her tv. She then handed Chloe the remote and told her to get comfy while she went to grab some popcorn and drinks. She knew that after dealing with her breakup, a distraction was usually one of the things that helped the most.
Once settled under the covers, the two watched the show. Chloe was amused that Beca was watching since she usually hated her shows.
"You don't have to watch, you know." Chloe said, looking up at Beca.
"I don't want you to be alone right now." was what Beca said that made Chloe's heart swell. The badass Beca Mitchell was being so sweet and kind to her and she could barely take it.
"I love you Beca." Chloe said, cuddling into her side.
"I love you too." She said back, knowing that her friend was going to be okay.
