"Then how're you smiling now?" he asked. Eri then turned back to face him and smiled so brightly that she showed her pearly white teeth with her eyes closed.
"I met people who make me feel safe and happy: my daddy, Satsuki, Mahoro, Katsuma, Tamashiro...." she paused before walking up to him and taking his hand with both of hers. "...and you. Thank you again for what you did for me today"
Hearing her say that made all the blood Kota had rushed up to his head. He felt so hot, he thought the cap on his head was gonna rocket off it. His mouth was left open as he had a hard time speaking out what he wanted to say, "I... I... I..."
Suddenly, the sound of a car horn brought him back to earth. With Eri still holding his hand, he turned to see a car parked right in front of them with a lady in the driver's seat with brown eyes and red hair styled into three bangs going across her face. Just when he thought he got his blood flow back in control, it began to rise up as the lady smirked at what she was seeing. Quickling yanking his hand away, Eri looked at him questionably and then at the lady. Looking at them back and forth, she recalled that Kota said both his parents had died so she asked, "Who's that?"
"M-My aunt," he said pulling his hat down to hide his face. Using his free hand, he opened the door to the passenger seat and hopped into the car. Though he wasn't looking, he could see Eri wave at him goodbye through the window thanks to his field of vision. After waiting one minute, Kota finally released a breath and sat back in his chair. After another few seconds of silence, his aunt from beside him spoke up.
"So, who's the girl?" she asked in a teasing voice.
"No one," he said placing an elbow on the door and staring out the window.
"Come on, she's obviously someone. You've never even let me hold your hand for that long. She really did look the sweetheart," she said with her eyes on the road. "Come on, who's she?"
Kota felt a little hesitant at first but then sighed before saying, "She's just a friend. Her name's Eri"
"Eri hmm?" she said in an interested tone.
"Yeah, so what?" he said looking at her annoyed.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just proud of you that's all. You've always avoided talking to people even to everyone at home. So hearing you call someone a friend, I can't help but feel proud that you're finally expressing yourself more"
"Whatever, just don't tell the others about it please," he said in an annoyed tone, to which his aunt inaudible giggled. Though he was still staring out the window, his eyes still stared at the direction they were coming from. It was then he noticed something glint in his eyes from above. He thought it was the sun's reflection on the window, but when he squinted his eyes, he saw what looked like an orange comet, fall from the sky. Moving himself to get a better view, he saw that the strange comet had landed behind some buildings, and yet there wasn't any explosions. "What the...?"
"Kota? Something wrong?" his aunt said noticing his strange behavior.
"Huh? Oh, it's nothing," he said sitting back in his chair. But though he said that, he kept asking himself the same question. "What the heck was that?"

After watching the car drive away, Eri lowered her waving hand and her smile slowly began to dissipate until the sound of a motorcycle caused her to turn around. Once she saw the type of motorcycle and who was riding it, she smiled in excitement. As it stopped in front of her, the driver lifted the visor of his helmet revealing Eri's adopted father.
"Hey Eri," Izuku said smiling at her.
"Hi Daddy," she said smiling excitedly. With her bag on her shoulder, she took the pink helmet that Izuku gave her, placed it on her head, and climbed onto the back of the motorcycle.
