CHAPTER 53

                                    

                                          

"I HOPE I NEVER LOSE YOU."
MAX DILLON HAD APPEARED, and the fight had started. Unofficially, but everyone knew. Everyone also knew that it would convey the beginning of the end of everything. It would be over in moments. "What's up, Peter?" Electro snarled. 
Thunder rumbled as Electro shows a big boom of lightning, the reactor attached to his chest boomed electricity. "How do you like the new — new? Look, you give it to me, I'm gonna destroy it, but I'll let you live!" he offered with a chuckle filled with madness. This guy didn't seem so bad before this. Peter ( Tom ) turned his head in the opposite direction, getting ready to jump. "Don't make me a murderer, Peter."
Peter ( Tom ) put his Spider — man mask on, he leapt down and dove down, "Okay, guys, here he comes." he yelled. 
Electro followed him using teleportation from the lightning he conducted. They continued to pass by the levels of the scaffolding, Peter ( Andrew ) swung towards Electro to distract him. "Hey, Max! I missed you, man!" he yelled, swinging upwards, avoiding a lightning bolt from Electros hands. 
Finally, Peter ( Tom ) was no longer in Electros direct attention span. He threw the magic box to Gwen, who was standing at the other end of a portal. "All right Gwen, heads up!" yelled Peter ( Tom ). 
At first, the plan was for Andie to get the box, but the group eventually decided against it due to Andie's serious lack of hand — eye coordination skills. "Got it! Close it." Gwen demanded Ned, with an impressed laugh. She was terrified she would miss the box to send them home and ruin everything. 
Ned attempts to close the portal, but fails. He tried again, and again, but failed. "Ned, it's not closing." MJ pointed out. 
Ned closed his eyes, trying to focus. "Yeah, I know." he mumbled. 
Gwen nervously peeked over to her girlfriend, "Why isn't it closing?" she whisper — yelled in fear. 
Ned shook his head, "I — I don't know." he continued to try to close the portal with more failed attempts. 
The group was now officially terrified. If this goddamn portal doesn't close, so many issues with the plan could arise. Death being one. "Did you close it before?" asked MJ.
Ned stammered for a second, "N — No? I mean, I've opened some." he shrugged, hearing loud screams from his friends in response. 
Back to where the Peter's fought, Lizard crawled onto the top of the Statue of Liberty and let out a loud roar. Peter ( Andrew ) sad on Lady Liberty's crown to rest for a second, he held out his hands when he saw Electro again.  "Max, Max, Max. Can we just talk for a second? Just you and me, just talk?" he begged, trying to diffuse the situation. 
Electro made a holler noise, "Look who showed up! My old friend Spider — man!" he pointed. 
Peter ( Andrew ) sighed. "I'm trying to save you, Max. That's all I've ever wanted." he shook his head, attempting to convince but Max was not hearing it. 
Max was determined in not listening, "You're not trying to save me." he snarled. 
The Spider — man ( Andrew ) let out another sigh, "I am." he begged. 
Electro clenched his jaw. "You ain't even the shit no more!" he yelled. Peter ( Andrew ) sighed, for the umpteenth time. "Don't worry about me. I'll save myself. Burn up!" Electros Arc Reactor powered up, he fired an extremely powerful lightning bolt, Peter ( Andrew ) saved himself just in time to survive. 
He caught fire on his foot, but quickly swung away. "I got his attention, now what?!" yelled Peter ( Andrew ) while swinging. 
Peter ( Tobey ) was also swinging with Curt Connors hanging from his foot. "Okay, great! Uh, just FYI Lizard — guy is here too!" he screamed. They hit a crane, Peter held himself inside, Lizard grabbed an external pipe and started to climb it.
