SELENA GARCÍA loved her job. Every morning she woke up with a tingle of anticipation, knowing that she had the chance to do what fulfilled her the most. No, it was more than that — it was her passion. Being a stylist.
Her job was not just to dress people, as some would say. She helped them discover and express their deepest desires and their unique style. This aspect of her work was invaluable to Selena. But perhaps it was also the fact that her clients placed an immense amount of trust in her. It was more than just a professional trust; it was a deep, almost intuitive trust. Her clients trusted her blindly and put themselves in her hands. Do whatever you want, I trust you. It was what filled Selena with pride, what showed her that her decision to study fashion design, as her abuela had said at the time, was not the wrong one after all. 
If you had told Selena's twelve-year-old self that ten years later she would receive a phone call that would change her entire life, she would have laughed at you. The opportunity of a lifetime — to dress a football player. She couldn't even believe it when the woman on the other end of the line repeated her name over and over again. Miss García? You're joking she said. Well in her defense, it wasn't every day that she got a call with a job offer like this. A football player, of all people, and a world-famous one at that — which she didn't know at the time. Maybe it wasn't her dream to exactly dress a football player but it was always her dream to do something big. Bigger than working in a small shop in France with hardly any opportunities for advancement. Don't get her wrong she loved her job, but it was the opportunity. An opportunity she may never get again. 
How could she say no that? After all she just had to dress a footballer. How hard could that be?
Well that was what she thought at least.
Little did she know that the footballer she would be working for was the JUDE BELLINGHAM. One of the world famous players.
It was then when both saw each other for the first time and let me say this much it wasn't love at first sight. Or let's put it that way, when she didn't know that he was the one she would be working for the next year. It was then, when she realized who he was, that made her want to put both hands around his neck. Strangling. And it was clearly mutual. Both of them would have liked to smash their heads together right then and there - if only they had the chance.
He couldn't stand her. Not when he met her briefly all those times before and even less when he learnt that she had to work for him for a year. He hated her know-it-all attitude. That she always had to have the last word and wouldn't back down like anytime. That she was far too stubborn to realize that she was the real problem and not him, like she said all the damn time. That was what drove him crazy. 
But if you asked Selena she wouldn't say anything else. Maybe add the fact that from the first moment she met him, he was a little arrogant, overly self-absorbed boy who was still stuck in puberty. That he thought just because he had more money — at least more than her — he was someone better. That he got every girl with it. (She didn't know why that exactly bothered her, but she just wanted to add it to the list). With his money and his good looks. Good? No. She meant bad. His bad looks. She could have added a few more things, but these were the first she could think of. 
Despite their mutual dislike, she tried to swallow all her pride and bury the war ball. She couldn't and wouldn't miss her lifetime opportunity because of a boy who couldn't behave like an adult despite his age. If she had to, she swore she would even sit in a room with him, without trying to attack him. But little did she know that Jude had other plans. Plans which included in making sure that she quit before the first month of her one-year contract was over. And he would do anything in order to get what he wants.
