There would be no mics, there would be multiple cameras to follow them closely but they were told to just ignore them to give that documentary feeling. And there were staff just making sure the path was clear from anyone taking pictures or getting too close to the scene.
"It's like we are being escorted on a date." He said, surprised at the strangeness of the scene as he looked to his side to see Ji Won staring at the increase of staff and security with a similar surprised expression.
"It's like...watching dispatch set up to follow our every move." She said at the same time before she turned to look at him and they both began laughing at the way their expressions mimicked each other. "Oppa...how are we supposed to not look awkward when there's this many people and no script. This entire scene is just a giant ad-lib." She played with fingers wondering what sort of expression she should make to the kind of words she should pretend that she was saying.
"Ji Won-ah. Don't be nervous." He said as he took her hand into his and gave her fingers a little squeeze. "It'll be easy."
"Says the King of Ad-libs." She huffed with a pout and he squeezed her fingers again.
"Ji Won-ah...can you look at me?" He asked sweetly and when she looked up, he saw her gazing down at her sweetly and felt the corners of her lips rise. "Yeah, just like this. Just look at me and follow my lead. Feels natural, right? Just trust that I'll take care of everything."
His gaze was sweet as he looked at her with a sincerity that meant more than just to trust him as her sunbae, or as her co-lead. Trust that he won't lead her astray. Trust that he would make her happy. Trust him that loving each other would be natural and easy.
She blinked a few times before inching forward and now it was his turn to be flustered. A smile finally appeared on her pink lips and he was so tempted to just lean in and kiss right then and there. "Eyes on you?"
"Eyes on me." He breathed softly and then turned his head to see the director signaling to them that they could start.
"Already in character?" The director asked as his eyes looked at their hands and they both laughed nervously, neither denying or agreeing with his words. "Well that's good, it'll make the day go by smoother. You know that path that we set up but honestly it's up to you two on how long you want to stay there." Nodding they looked at the little tunnel where the first scene was going to be set up and quickly walked through it, swinging their locked hands
It was just silence at first when they walked, she was still conscious of the cameras following her. Figuring out the pacing of her steps, her brows furrowed, her nose scrunched--overthinking every move she made about how to make the best possible scene. He looked at her and smiled before pulling at her hand to bring her closer to him. She was so cute when she was trying so hard.
"Ji Won-ah."
"Mmn?" She turned her head to look at him, eyes attentive as she looked at him and only him. It was disarming how he was always at a loss of words when he got lost in her eyes. It wasn't like him at all but he didn't mind the subtle changes that were happening.
