TUESDAY NOVEMBER 12TH: HAVEN-LYNTESS HOUSE

≋ DAY'S POV ≋

"Are you almost packed?" I ask while I'm on the phone with Colton.

"Mhm, I even have your favorites, Nerd gummy clusters in my backpack," Colton replies.

"Aww thank you! Brought an extra blanket for the ride."

"Very much appreciated Dayz."
It's 6:23 in the morning and it's college tour week. We're going this week because early decisions are coming out soon and the school just wanted to get it out of the way. Also some good news is Colton got an offer from Falton and Michigan and he has until June to make a choice.

Usually it's unheard of for colleges to hold out an offer for that long but with Colton's stats and skill they have hopes and a vision for him. I honestly think that's insane and I am so proud of him. We're visiting a few tri-state colleges this week but today we're driving up to New Jersey to visit Rutgers and Princeton to spend the night there. The next day we are driving to Pennsylvania to see UPenn and leaving there at 3:00 p.m. to go back to New York. The last day were visiting NYU and Brylet and then finally going home. Let's just say we're in for some chaos. Playoffs also went amazing for Colton when they became state champions. For the first time in thirty years the girls soccer team were also state champs. This year has been fucking crazy.

I make my way outside and place my things in the trunk and get into the car with my mom and Lachlan. "So Adeyzia, how's it going with my future son in-law?" she says and I scream back "Mom, I'm not dating Colton!"

"Mhm but Adeyzia I let him come to the beach house and you guys seemed pretty cozy."

God, please don't tell me she heard anything that night Colton found out about things.

"He and I are just friends."

"If you say so sweetie, now just to be safe I brought you more birth control pills, a plan b and condoms."

"Mom!" I scream again and I feel like Lara Jean in that scene of To All The Boys when her dad gives her an envelope of contraceptives. Hearing my mom who helicopters everything I can't believe how clueless she can be.

"Blaire relax, Adeyzia is smart and won't do anything she doesn't want to."

"Thank you Lachlan."

Lachlan pulls into the front and I see four coach buses lined up waiting. I wave goodbye to my parents and get my things out of the trunk.

"Adeyzia!" The girls scream and I look around.

"Where's Levaeh?" I ask.

"She insisted on getting on the bus early so she could quote on quote save us a spot but I think she's asleep already," Noelle says.

I laugh and we go into the second bus and Noelle was right because Levaeh was slumped with her pink eye mask on her hair in a bun and her head rolled back.

We file into the rows and Colton walks over to my row and asks "Morning Day, mind if I sit with you?"

"You already know the answer," I reply.

"And that is?"

"Stop being slow Colton."

"Ouch Adeyzia, isn't it too early for teasing?"

"It's never too early! Now sit down so I can have some of the nerds."

"Ugh fine!"

He sits down in the aisle seat and hands me the bag. I honestly think this is going to be a little bit of a getaway no matter how school related it is.

≋ COLTON'S POV ≋

"Dayz, wake up," I whisper as we pull into the hotel. She fell asleep leaning on my shoulder.

"I don't wanna get up," Day says to me moaning.

"I'll give you more snacks if you get up," I say back, trying to bribe her.

"Fine Colton."

"Let's go cranky baby."

I get up and she puts her hands out and I pull her up. We walk off the bus and I grab my backpack and not my suitcase since we're only staying here today we don't get to go to a hotel until tonight.

Day is in gray sweats and an army green-colored Brylet University hoodie. Considering we're at Rutgers right now it's probably not the best idea to wear a rival school's hoodie.

"I'll see you six?" Day asks me.

"See you at six," I reply.

We split up and I meet with the guys but this time it was different. Noah is back after I filled the rest of them in on his and Day's reconciliation. I believe it's for the better. We're almost adults and life is too short to hold grudges against others.
